Chapter 30: "Babe, I'm Rick Fetcher"

"Yay. She said yes" Kayla squealed. "Duh" I laugh. "Finally, they are together. I've been waiting since" Diana complains, separating our kiss.

They all hugged us. "Thank you Jas" Rick smiles at me. "Of course I would have said yes dummie" I kiss his lips again but for a shorter time.

"Okay okay lovers. We need to go back so we don't miss dinner time" Ayisha smiles at us.

Rick and her have been getting along really well these past days.

"Yeah" we all concur and leave the place. Sean and Rick ordered Ubers, being such gentlemen.

I got into the first Uber with Rick while, the rest got into the other Uber Sean ordered.

"How did you learn to be that cute?" I ask Rick. "I could be anything for you" he smiles at me.

"But you didn't need to spend that much money" I rest on his shoulder. "Of course I did, it's you I'm spending it on. You're my special cause" he pecks my forehead.

Aww. "How did you even know that place? How did you know the owner?" I love asking questions fr.

"Babe, I'm Rick Fetcher. I know the owner, he owes my mum a favour so I used this opportunity to cancel it. Plus, he's my friend" he smirks at me.

"Yeah I'm Rick Fetcher yen yen yen" I mimic him as we laugh in the Uber till sleep takes me.

"This concludes our trip students. I hope you all took good notes cause it will be very beneficial in your upcoming exams"

"And mind you, what we learnt today will not be repeated or ever taught in the class anymore. Understood?" Mr Philips informed us and we nod.

I'm glad I took notes and several other useful things so as to pass my exams. Yay.

"I hope you all packed your stuff? Cause if you didn't, I apologise because that would be the end of whatever's lost" he picks his words well.

We nod in response and begin to board the plane for our flight back to school. Rick saved a seat for me and I go sit there.

"Hey baby. How was your trip? How's school?" my mum said through the phone.

"It was nice, the best actually and school's good too. How you been coping alone without me?" I laugh.

"Oh I'm doing alright, been busy with work. You must have really enjoyed your trip" she says.

"Hmm.. busy with those your strange phone calls again. You're seeing someone, right?" I play with her.

"Nah but what if I was?" she tells me. "Oh I know you aren't. Well, I have a boyfriend now" I squealed.

"Aw my baby's growing. It's that Rick boy right?" I could hear her smile. She loves when I talk about Rick.

It's like he's her boyfriend, lol.

"Yes mum. He asked two days ago on the school trip. It was awesome. I'll tell you all about it later, I have to go" I tell her.

"Okay sure. Honey, please I have to meet him. You've met his family, so it's only right for me to meet him too" she suggests.

She's rushing me. This woman.

"I would mum. I would" I tell her. "Okay my darling. I'll call you later. Bye, be safe. I love you" she says to me.

"Yes mum. I love you too, tell that man you're seeing that he should be prepared to see me" I joke.

"Okay I'll tell mr invisible man" she jokes and hangs up.
