RICK FETCHER'S POV!
Today was the big day. My mum has been cooking since morning alongside our cooks.

While Ian, Sam (our butler), Janice (our maid) and I have been tidying everywhere up for our guests.

My mum says this is really important for her and she prays nothing goes wrong.

It's evening now and I can't wait for the guests to arrive, let me rephrase; I can't wait for Jasmine to arrive.

I'll show her to my parents and my brother.

She'll meet the family. I just hope she doesn't forget.

She can't when Diana has literally been counting down to this day on her instagram story.

"Is everything set? My camera crew are almost here" my mum came out of the kitchen and told us.

"Yes mum. Everything's fine. This is important to us as it is to you" I try to calm her cause she looks panicked.

"Okay okay" she breaths in and out.

"I'll be back" Ian picks his car keys and frowned at everyone.

"What? The guests are almost here. Where are you going?" my mum queried him.

"I said I'll be back mum. I'm not going far" he growls, not giving an actual answer.

He goes towards the door but I block him.

"Rick, get out of the way" Ian sneered at me.

"Why? Listen to mum, go get dressed and wait for the guests, you dimwit" I growl at him.

"Rick, mind your own damn business and move or else" he threatened.

"Or else, what? I dare you to talk" I tell him.

"That's enough you two. Rick, get away from Ian. Son, go and be back soon" my dad's voice commanded.

"Thanks dad" Ian said and slammed the door.

"For all we know, he might not come back" I try to argue.

"That's not your business to think about, Rick. You go get dressed, now!" my dad says, supporting Ian as always.

It's been two hours since Ian left. I knew he wouldn't come back, pussy.

My mum's been seriously worried. We've called him constantly but no avail.

The party's started 10 minutes ago. I look outside and see Sean's car drive in, and a huge grin grew on my face.

"Why you so happy?" Kayla asked me. She's been here since, she came with her dad who wanted to crosscheck if she was lying.

"Sean's here, which means Diana and Jas are here" I smile at her name. "You really love her, don't you?" Kayla smiles.

"Yeah. You have no idea" I smile back.

My mum sent me on an errand to get something.

But when I got back to the party, I saw someone.

I spot a familiar person in a deep red dress and stilettos. I recognise that stature and hair everywhere.

"Wow.. you look so beautiful l" I couldn't stop myself from saying.

"Really? Thank you" she smiles at me.

"I honestly thought I was overdressed" she chuckled.

"Nah. You look perfect to me" I smile at her and she blushes.

The sound from a spoon hitting a glass cup draws our attention.

"Please, can we all gather at the table" my mum announced.

Our dining room was big enough for us all considering our little amount. I open a seat next to me for Jasmine.

"Okay. We're live in 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.." she counts down and the show starts.

"Hey all. Welcome to Fetcher's Recipe for you show" she managed a smile.

She's been sad today. You know, thinking about her late only daughter.

"Well, today's show is a little different seeing as this is a live show"

"I'm not in an apron or a kitchen, working my magic" she jokes and we all laughed to boost her up.

"Today's a celebration of my daughter's life, Kendra Fetcher, who is dead now but still in our hearts"

"This dinner is dedicated to her well spent life on earth. So, friends and family, raise your glasses. Let's give an early toast to Kendra" she says.

"To Kendra" we raised our glasses and toasts.
