Chapter 47: "I see you're doing a lot better"

"Doc... when will I be discharged?" I ask Dr. Isaac. "Um.. since all your tests came out negative, you'll be free to go tomorrow" he smiles at me.

"Thanks" I smile at him and he leaves the room. "Yay, you'll be discharged tomorrow" Ian smiles at me.

"Yeah" I say with a sad tone. Why should I be happy to be discharged? I literally have no family waiting for me.

All my family are all dead. What else is the point of leaving this hospital?

"What's wrong? You don't sound too happy?" he says, pulling my chin to face him. Seeing his beautiful eyes, makes me want to kiss him so bad but nah.

"Ian, what's the point? What's the point of leaving this hospital to meet nothing? I mean no mum, no dad, nothing. You even lost your dad and twin because of me" I cry slightly.

"Don't say that Jas. I lost people who tried to hurt you. Of course I'm not happy about my loss but, I won't have you blaming yourself. Plus, you still have Antonio" he tells me.

Oh! That's true, Antonio. How does Ian know him? So, he hasn't heard what happened all these while? He hasn't bothered to call or even see me.

Wow.

My own brother, wow.

"Okay Ian. I won't blame myself again. Where's everyone?" I ask him. "They went to school, they'll be around later" he tells me.

Ian didn't go to school because of me? I love this boy but, he shouldn't have to make such decisions cause of me.

"Ian, why didn't you go to school with them?" I ask him, sternly. "And leave you all alone? Nah" he smiles at me.

Argh! Does he think this is a joke? But I can't stay mad at him.

"Ian, these are your studies you're playing with. Your future! Go to school" I tell him because the time is twenty minutes after 10am. He hasn't missed much.

"Sugar, I can't leave you all alone" he whines. "Ian, I'm not. God's here with me. Now go to school, I'll take care of myself" I tell him seriously.

"Okay okay, fine" he laughs as he grabs a bag of his and leaves my room.

Time to take a short nap

Since Ian just left, I'm a bit bored. So, I decide on taking a short nap.

As I lay on my bed to sleep, my room door opens and I say, "Ian, go to sch.." I stop talking when I see Antonio, his wife and Jacob.

Aw! My big brother came.

Jacob runs to me, giggling so much as he hugs me. "Oh my baby. How are you?" I hug my nephew.

He just mumbled some words and I smile at him. "I see you're doing a lot better" my brother smiles at me.

"I am. I am, considering you haven't come to see your little sister who was in pain all these while" I jokingly frown at him.

"No sis. I wanted to come but I just needed you to heal a bit. Okay? Don't be mad at your best big brother" he pokes my nose.

"Okay okay. I'm not, since you brought Jacob, I'm good" I smile at him. I look over at Ashley and I smile at her.

"How are you Jasmine?" she asks me. "I'm very good Ash" I reply her. "Okay dear. When would you be discharged?" she says.

"Tomorrow" I smile. "Okay. Your brother was really worried about it, you know" she says, smiling at my brother.

"Oh really?" I say, looking at him. "Yup" she says. "I told you not to tell her" he whines and we all laugh.

I got discharged from the hospital two days ago and I've been doing pretty well.

I'm staying with my brother for a bit. I can't go back to school for now, the doctor says I should still rest for a while.

Everything's been going pretty good. I talked to Sierra and Katy, and we're back being the best friends we were.

We talked about a lot of things and I realised how much I missed and loved this girl.

Diana needed some time to cool off after this whole stress. So, she travelled to do a little sightseeing and it was also an excuse for a little vacation.

She's shown me a few pictures and I see she's doing pretty well and enjoying herself.

Sean and Kayla are still in touch with me. They also started bonding with Sierra and Kat, and we all became a new group of friends.

I really do appreciate their love and care they've showed towards me during my time of recovery.

"Sis.. Ian is here to see you" Antonio removes me from my thoughts and I go downstairs to meet Ian.

"Oh hey Ian" I smile and wave at him. "Hey sugar" he smiles back. "Well, I'll leave you two. If you need me, I'll be with Ash" Antonio waves at both of us.

"So... what's up?" I tell him, sitting on the couch with him. "I came to invite you to a dinner in my house. My mum said she needs to see you" he explains.

"Oh that's fine. Should I go change?" I say, looking at the clock cause it's 5:55pm already. "Yeah sure. I'll wait for you, just wear something casual and comfortable" he tells me and I rush to change.

"Jas my darling" Mrs Fetcher comes to hug me. "Good evening ma" I hug her back.

"My darling how are you? How have you been?" she takes me to sit at the dining table. "I've been really well ma. How have you been?" I respond.

"I've been okay. I've been meaning to see you since. A whole lot has happened, my dear. I really need to apologise" she starts.

"There's no need for that. Of course a whole lot has happened but the most important thing is that we should learn to move on" I smile.

"You're an Angel sent to me. Thank you my darling. Let's eat then" she says and we begin eating.

I take the plates to the kitchen, helping Janice out. When I get from dropping the plates, I see Tessa smiling and Ian kneeling on one knee.

He's holding a silver bracelet in his hand, he also has it on his wrist too.

"What's happening?" I say I'm confusion and Ian starts smiling more.

"Jasmine, would you be my girlfriend?"
