I'm dialling Ayisha's number but the call goes straight to voicemail again.

This is the 15th time I'm calling and it's been the same response. She's not been in school since after the school trip.

I'm now excessively worried about her, if only I knew maybe her family well. I would've definitely gone to see her.

God please, I hope she's alright.

An unknown caller ID calls as I'm about to redial Ayisha's cell. I hope she's using another number to try to reach me.

"Uh hello?" I say, in expectance to see hear her voice.

"Jasmine Cornfield, your time is really near. Be prepared for what's ahead. You don't have a lot of time anymore" a robotic voice says.

Argh! This stupid message again. But it's different now, it's talking about time. What does it mean by I don't have time anymore.

"Don't call this number anymore" I yell and cut the call.

I ponder on what to do and my mind drifts to my brother cause he said he'll help me.

But then again, I have no way of contacting him. I never bothered to ask for his number.

My brain goes straight to Facebook, I type in his name. Hoping to find him on this app and bingo, I see him almost immediately.

I scroll through his page for authenticity and I see cute pictures of Jacob and his wife with him sometimes. Jacob is so cute.

I send him a friend request and wait till he accepts it. Knowing him, as soon as he sees my name, he'll accept. I hope that's what happens.

Ding! Ding! A notification on my phone popped. showing he just accepted my friend request.

Told ya.

A text comes in from him saying, "Hey sis". Deciding not to waste time, I call him so we can talk.

"Wow, you called? I kn.." he was saying but I cut him off his words.

"We need to talk. I'll send you an address, you need to do this for me. I'm really scared Tonio" I call his name I loved to say.

"Sure little sis. I'll be waiting for your text" he replies and I hung up in haste as I send him an address and date.

"Yo! Did you hear?" Isaac walked up to me.

Ayisha has still not come to school in a while, I already wrote a letter I would send to the principal so he could ask her parents, what's happening.

I really miss her, she's a good friend who has been through a whole lot.

Her getting thinner and not coming in contact with anyone is a terrifying thing to me even though some people say I'm exaggerating.

"Hear what exactly?" I respond.

"Ayisha's parents are in the principal's office talking seriously and Kayla thinks it's bad news" he tells me.

This is news to me. Finally, I get to see her parents and they get to answer my questions.

"Thanks, I need to see them urgently. I'm worried about my girl" I tell Isaac.

"They definitely have your answers" he sighs. He looks like he knows what's up but I won't push him to tell me.

Diana runs to me alongside Amelia. "We've been looking everywhere for you girl. I even told Isaac over here, to tell you I was looking for you" she pants.

"Oh yeah, I forgot sorry" he says and laughs. "Well, the principal needs to see us. According to him, it's extremely urgent" she says.

"Why us?" I ask. "We're Ayisha's roommate and it's about Ayisha, that's all we know. Let's go" Amelia drags me, as well as run to the principal's office.

Knock! Knock! We knock on the office door. "Come on in girls" the principal answers us.

"Well, these are Ayisha's parents and they have something important to inform you girls about Ayisha"

"I don't want you guys to be terrified or distressed after hearing it please" the principal said, he looks really stressed out.

"Hello girls. Uh.. I'm Ayisha's mum and this is really hard for me to say" her mum tells us.

I really hope she's not changing schools cause that would totally be unfair and would bother me a whole lot.

"But.. I'll just say it as it is. Ayisha died last night" her mum says with tears in her eyes.

"Wait? Our Ayisha?" we yelled.

"Yes. She died of an earring disorder. I'm so sorry girls" her mum cries more while her husband tries his best to comfort her.

This must be a joke. Ayisha is gone? Like gone gone? What the fuck is happening here?

Shit!
