Jake and Deva walked to Deva's dorm room in silence. He had decided to walk her there for safety as it was late at night.

Deva couldn't stop thinking about the day's lesson and she would sometimes steal glances at Jake as she walked.

She absentmindedly bit her lip as she crossed her arms over her chest.

As they reached the door, Jake placed his hands together and let out a small awkward chuckle.

"So... I've been wanting to say something." He spoke quietly as he looked down at his shoes.

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry if I pressured you into anything while we were in the basement, I just-"

"No. No, you didn't pressure me into anything, Jake." She said softly as she shook her head.

"Really? Because I feel like I was a little too assertive and maybe you might've felt uncomfortable with the pace I was going-"

"Jake, no. I- I liked it." She stuttered as she looked down at the ground, closing her eyes in embarrassment as Jake looked at her in surprise.

You were too honest, Deva...

Her gaze went up to meet his, and she couldn't help but look at his lips for more than a second, before meeting his eyes again.

Jake noticed this making his heart rate to fasten.

"Oh." He said softly as he looked up at the sky, before closing his eyes for a second. "So what you're saying is you like the spontaneousness of it?"

Deva shrugged her shoulders before looking up at him with a soft smile.

"I need to go."

"What?" She asked, taken aback. "You know, Logan isn't in the room tonight, you could sleep over-"

"Not tonight, Dev. I can't tonight."

"Why?"

He softly bit the inside of his cheek as he stared at her for a few seconds before looking away.

"I don't think it's a good idea."

"Why not?" She asked softly as she tilted her head making Jake look away again.

Her gaze was so soft and unintentionally seductive that Jake couldn't even think straight for longer than a second.

"How do I say this without sounding like a creep?" He said to himself under his breath, before looking at her.

"What?" She asked in confusion making him sigh.

"I can't tonight. I-I'll see you tomorrow in class, Dev." He spoke so quickly it was almost hard to understand him, but he gave her a kiss on her cheek which left her starstruck for the rest of the night.

Deva's chest rose and fell at a calm pace as he slowly placed her hands over her head.

Her crop top had a few buttons open, giving him a view of her cleavage and her entire abdomen.

He softly placed a kiss on her shoulder, then on her cheek and then on her lips.

"You're more than just my friend." He whispered as his lips ghosted along her jawline and her neck.

His lips followed a pattern as they hovered over the curve of her breasts making her close her eyes.

Why do I want him so bad?

She asked herself as she shook her head out of her unholy thoughts, opening her eyes to meet Jake's.
