Jake stared back at Iris without reacting, but Deva started pushing on his arms to get them off her.

"Jake." Deva whispered, catching his attention.

Jake finally looked at her and took his arms off her waist, letting her sit up.

He sat up as well as his roommate had a small smirk of amusement on his face.

"Sorry." He whispered as he walked over to the kitchen trying to avoid the situation he had involuntarily caused.

Deva quickly fixed her top that had ridden up a little, and stood up as if on command.

Iris' eyes ran over both of them as Jake cleared his throat.

"Where's my jacket?" Deva asked quietly, making Jake look at her.

"My room."

"Thank you." She said quickly, before fast walking down the hall.

Iris let her gaze follow her before looking back at Jake.

"I see you were a little busy."

"Me and Jake are just friends, there's nothing you need to worry about." Deva said as she placed her jacket over her shoulders, looking over at Jake who was staring right back at her.

Deva's eyes fell to the ground, avoiding his gaze before starting to walk to the door.

"I'll head out. I'll see you later, Jake." She spoke quickly as she opened the door and let it close behind her.

Jake let out a sigh as he laid back on the couch, looking up at the ceiling, a slight frown on his lips.

Back to square one...

Deva held in a groan as her eyes hurt from the brightness in the room, but she had decided to still come to class.

She was lucky that her roommate was still there when she arrived and she was able to take a shower and change out of her clothes.

She never thought she'd be suffering from a hangover on a Thursday morning.

Her gaze was blankly on the professor, although his words were going in one ear and out the other. It was almost like she was under water and he was far away.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"It's okay, Charles, just sit down and pay attention."

"Thank you." Charles said nicely before walking in the classroom.

Deva nervously looked away from him as he sat down next to her, making her furrow her eyebrows.

Why is he sitting here?

Before she knew, his hand was sliding her keys and her phone down the table.

"Thank you." She whispered in embarrassment as she grabbed them from his hand.

He only gave her a smile before looking at the teacher.

"You seemed like you had fun." Charles spoke making her jump after grabbing a water bottle from the vending machine.

"I don't remember much. Was I embarrassing?"

"No, everyone had fun with you. You were dancing all over the place." He chuckled as he sat next to Deva on one of the benches.

"That's good, I guess." She spoke quietly as she took a sip of her water.
