Deva sat in class on the next day, as if nothing crazy had happened just a few hours before, but this time, she didn't watch the door.

She didn't want to meet eyes with anyone.

Especially not the guy she had her first awkward kiss with, or the guy she agreed to take kissing lessons from in the spur of the moment.

"Are we still meeting up at midnight?"

Deva was startled by a whisper next to her, making her turn her head to her side.

She hadn't even felt the chair next to her move and she hadn't heard anyone sitting there.

Jake leaned his head against his hand as he stared at the side of her face with confidence that she wished she had.

She couldn't even look him in the eye.

She spun her ring in her finger for a few seconds, before nodding her head.

"You know, you can back out of it. It's like class enrollment, you can withdraw. There's no pressure at all." He said with a small, amused smile.

"No, it's fine. Let's do it."

He nodded his head with pursed lips before standing up, softly patting her hand before leaving.

Just as Jake was standing up to go back to his seat, Charles walked in the room, this time smelling great.

He didn't smoke before class, surprisingly.

Charles gave her a small wink, before going to his seat, making her look away.

"So, let's go over the basics." Jake said strictly as he crossed his arms, leaning back against the seat.

They sat in the library in the middle of the night.

There was no one on the second floor, just like the night before, and all of the librarians were downstairs, with one of them even sleeping.

There was no need to fear anyone seeing them together or hearing them.

For some reason, the idea of people knowing that she was taking kissing lessons with Jake of all people, terrified her.

Deva looked down at the table as she played with her nails.

"Why are you so shy?"

"I hate that question."

"Sorry." He chuckled as he watched her in amusement. "I mean, if we're going to be seeing each other more often, you should look at me at least once."

Deva looked up at Jake and he gave her a smile.

"There we go."

"So, what are the basics?" Deva questioned as she raised her eyebrows making Jake raise his eyebrows as well.

"I don't know."

"Aren't you supposed to teach me?"

"Well..." He said as his eyes stayed on the table in deep thought. "Kissing shouldn't be rushed. At least not the first few times. You should just relax."

"How do you relax?" She said softly as she scrunched up her nose.

"Clear your mind."

"My mind was already blank."

"Oh, so you've kissed someone already?" He raised his eyebrows in slight surprise, making Deva look away in embarrassment, feeling her ears burn. "Well, that means you were relaxed, you're on the right track."
