Deva awkwardly sat in class as she could practically feel Charles' gaze at the back of her head.

She kept her arms crossed as she remembered his reaction.

When he walked into the room, he stayed there for a few seconds before closing the door again.

There was nothing on his face or anything that could show his thoughts, making her consciousness torture her even more.

Jake had only taken his arm off the desk by her side and helped her get off it with a small sheepish smile.

"He probably didn't see anything."

was what he said....

He clearly did!

"Psst! Dev!"

Deva turned her head towards Jake as she looked away from the professor.

"We're going to Starbucks after class to get that coffee." He whispered as he gave her a small smile.

"Jake, what am I gonna do?" She asked quietly as she raised her eyebrows.

"Nothing, he didn't see anything-"

"Why did you even smile?!" She whispered exasperatedly, making him smirk.

"Is there something you two would like to share with the class?"

Deva jumped at the voice of the professor, making her turn in her seat.

"No sir." Jake answered as he shook his head with a small smile.

"Are you sure there's nothing to share? That conversation seemed more interesting than my class."

"Nope." Jake pursed his lips as he shook his head again, making the professor nod his head at him and turn back to his presentation.

"Jake, I don't know what to do." She sighed again, sitting on a bench under a tree as Jake calmly paced in front of her.

"Deva, stop thinking about it. You guys aren't officially dating anyway. Has he asked you to be his girlfriend?"

"No... But it still feels weird. We went out on dates and stuff, maybe he thought we had something going on-"

"So does that mean you don't have something going on?" Jake interrupted as he turned his head to look at her.

"I-I mean- we do. I think. That's why it's something I'm worried about Jake."

"Do you like him that much?" He questioned as he raised his eyebrows.

"I-I think I do. And even if I didn't, wouldn't that have been something bitchy to do?" She shook her leg as she stared at the ground.

Jake stopped his pacing before he walked and sat down next to her, stealing one of the cookies in her bag.

"Dev, seriously stop thinking about it, he's Charles, he's not going to find that bitchy when he's done worse-"

A phone ringing interrupted Jake, making Deva jump as she saw it was her own.

"Oh no, it's him, what do I do?" She whined as she tossed the phone to him in panic.

"Answer it." Jake said as he chuckled.

"Why are you laughing-"

"Answer it!" He laughed as he passed her the phone making her roll her eyes.

"Hello?"

"Hey Deva."

"Hey, Charles."

Jake watched her in amusement as he took a sip of his own coffee. Deva noticed his gaze and slapped his arm harshly, making him grip it in pain as he let out a quiet chuckle.
