Deva knocked on her room door as Jake held her up, waiting for her roommate to open the door.
They quietly stood there as her roommate didn't come to the door, making Jake wonder if she was even there.
"Are you sure she's in the room? Don't you have your key?" Jake questioned as he looked at her with raised eyebrows.
Deva shrugged before looking through her jacket pockets for her key, finding absolutely nothing.
"I think I lost it." She giggled as she placed her empty hands in front of his face.
Jake sighed as he thought for a moment, trying to regain his patience, before knocking on the door again and waiting for a response.

Deva tried unlacing her Converse with her blurry vision, pushing Jake's hand away as he tried to help her.
"Deva, what are you even doing? You're pulling on the wrong place. What are you so stubborn for?" Jake sighed as she continued pushing his hand away.
She gave up as she laid back on Jake's bed with her arms over her head.
Jake shook his head as he loosened her shoelaces and took her shoes off.
It had taken a 15-minute walk to get to his apartment, when normally it would take only 5.
Deva continuously had to stop along the way to ask where they were going and to point out something different on the road each time, whether it was a dead bug or a flower petal.
Jake was stressed to say the least.
"Jake?" She called out quietly as he basically pulled her like a ragdoll for her head to reach the pillow, covering her with his blanket.
Jake hummed as a response as he moved towards the window and closed the curtains for the light to not come in once the sun came up in a few hours.
"Where are you?"
"Open your eyes, turn your head and you'll see me, Dev." Jake couldn't help but laugh as Deva had her eyes closed with a small giggle at his words.
"You're funny." She laughed cutely as she stretched her arms over her head.
"Do you want some water?"
Deva shook her head as she opened her eyes slightly.
"There you are!" She pointed unevenly as she smiled at Jake. "Come here."
Jake looked at her as he shook his head with an amused gaze.
"Why not?" She complained.
"Because you will vomit all over me."
"I will not." She said defensively as she sat up slightly, throwing herself back again with a groan as her head started pounding. "Please, Jake."
"What do you want? I'm going to sleep in the living room, hurry up and tell me before I go." Jake said lightheartedly as he placed his shoes in the closet, taking off his shirt and changing into pajama pants without Deva even noticing.
"Sleep here. Why are you sleeping in the living room?"
"Because you're drunk and you're going to vomit on me." He continued to tease as he walked over to her, softly placing her practically limp arm under the blanket.
"I said I won't!" Deva whined as she sat up again.
"Shh, go to sleep Dev." He said as he softly pushed on her shoulders to lay her back down and placing the blanket over her shoulders again.
