Deva looked up at the door when she heard it open each time in anticipation. She hadn't seen Jake in more than four days because of her break, and he had texted her the night before saying he had something for her in the morning.
Knowing Jake, he could easily be joking, but Deva loves gifts.
"You waiting for me?"
Deva was startled at the sound of Charles' voice coming from her side.
"Um.. no. Just.. the professor." She lied as she gave him a smile.
"Ouch." He pretended to be hurt as he placed a hand to his heart. "What are you doing tonight? I was thinking we could hang out."
"Actually I was supposed to meet with-"
"Jake you're here!" Someone greeted making her turn her head quickly.
Jake's gaze met Deva's just as that random girl from the party made her way into his arms, placing a kiss on the corner of his lips.
The excitement in Deva's eyes changed slightly at her presence, but she only gave Jake a sweet wave with a small smile.
He was visibly uncomfortable by her presence as well, and he waved at Deva, as he tried to gently push the girl off, but Deva's gaze was already back on her table.
Why did that bother me?...Cause' she's a bitch too, just like his ex-girlfriend, that's why.... There's no other reason but that... You just don't like her..
Deva thought to herself as she watched Jake get to his seat.
"Deva?"
"Hm? Oh. The date. Right."
"Never said it was a date, but if that's what we both want it to be, let's do it." Charles cheekily said making her shake her head in slight amusement.
Deva blinked for a second, before looking over at Jake, who was sitting with the girl.
No, don't even think about it...
"I need to think about it a little more, I think I might have something to do tonight but I'm not sure just yet. I'll let you know." She said as she shook her head, but Charles only gave her a smile and a nod.
Charles followed her gaze for a quick second, seeing her look at Jake.
"Is it Jake's party?"
"He's having another party? On a Tuesday?" She questioned as she raised his eyebrows.
"That's Jake for you. It's every week." Charles chuckled as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Deva went quiet as she looked over at Jake again, seeing his gaze on his phone.
If Jake is having a party than that means class is cancelled right? But why hasn't he told me anything?
She suddenly felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, making her quickly grab it.
But her gaze dropped in disappointment as she saw it was just a Weverse notification from TXT.
"If that's your plans, we can go together." He suggested as he shrugged.
Deva thought about it for a while, before shrugging her shoulders as well.
"Sure."

Deva felt a huge sense of Deja Vu as she stood outside of Jake's apartment again, wondering if she should text him to let her in again.
The music inside was loud, confirming the party she previously didn't know was going to happen.
