Walking back from the pits with her heard of children was empowering.

"Where will they go?" Criston pondered.

"Somewhere safe." Davina offered.

"Where?" Criston questioned again. Davina glanced back at him.

"Figure it out as I go

"Figure it out as I go." Davina remarked. "Im a think on my toes kind of gal."

She brought them to the capital kitchens instructed the staff to feed them and get them new clothes and warm baths. The children looked at Davina like she was a Goddess sent from heaven to save them.

"Take good care of them." Davina demanded. "I will be right back." Davina assured when a little boy stared up at her grabbing her hand. "You are safe."

"I can stay with them." Criston remarked.

"Thank you... Harrold. Council meeting. Now." Davina declared when she passed Alicents chambers.

"Yes princess." Harrold agreed knocking on the door.

"Dont bother viserys if hes sleeping already. He needs his rest."

"Yes princess."

Especially when the king was growing sicker and more tired by the day Davina knew she had to take charge.

"I found out about the fighting pits while on an adventure with my pal Criston." Davina remarked.

"Fighting pits?" Alicent questioned wiping the sleep from her eyes.

"Children. Fighting. To the death. They are here. In the castle. The pits are ended. At least that one is." Davina declared as Viserys walked in. "I told them not to wake you Vis."

"You taking charge is something I love to see." Viserys corrected.

"I ended one awful child fighting pit in flee bottom. Its about damn time we handled the hell that is flee bottom. I also handled the unfortunate patrons of the hell scape enjoying children fighting." Davina remarked. "We deal with flee bottom. We clean it up and clean out the damn rats. Its been too long." Davina declared and a smile curved Viserys face.

Alicent knew that Davina was a good leader knew she was molding Haenry, Daerya and Aemond well. Knew they would be leaders like herself one day. Knew that Aegon although the firstborn had no want for a crown. Aegon started seeing Vaera as a young woman and not a child and Vaera took note in playing hard to get. Now it was Aegon chasing after Vaera. Harwin had not liked that. Davina thought it was cute. Thought Harwin would like Aegons clear dedication to Vaera. Haezel and Daeron were inseparable. Alicent loved them together. Loved how Daeron had become confident and brave.

Helaena was still very much interested in her creatures more than men. Davina got her books on insects brought her to the high maesters so she could learn more about bugs from other realms. Helaena wasnt meant for marriage and motherhood just yet. She had too much to learn about the world around her. Alicent wished she had a passion like that when She was younger.

Valyria and Rhaegar were still Davinas sweet hearts. Making her smile and laugh constantly. She loved them her little love bugs. They were also her mischievous two. But had all the love in the world to give. Haven was going to be a dragon rider. Davina knew it. Haven and Draeya reminded her most of herself. Fierce and brave. Valyria and Rhaegar were such sweethearts like Harwin. Always wanted to be by her side.

She had good children. To think about the children the orphans she rescued. They were probably great kids in a shit situation.

"What would you like to do Dav?" Viserys questioned

"I want to take one of the dreadful whore houses closer to the castle and turn it into a safer orphanage. I want patrols to be damn better at their job. To strike fear in the people. The monsters that think they can get away with such things." Davina demanded. "And I want it done now."

"She is doing well."  Viserys remarked. "She takes charge. You see it."

"I do. Im... impressed with your sister." Otto agreed.

"She didnt know how to hold Rhaenyra when she was born and now she is mothering children mine and those of her own. Taking in orphans. Gods she hated kids... now look at her. Im so proud of her." Viserys declared.

Alicent had never seen Davina so happy as she cleaned up flee bottom.

Draeya and Haenry got to see their mother in her prime. Killing the bad guys. Ridding the scum. Aegon saw his mama Dav in a whole new light. They all knew Davina could fight. All knew she was a warrior but this was a whole new level.

When they got back the kids couldnt stop jabbering about hoe awesome it was. How awesome the thrill was. They were fucking heroes of flee bottom.

Alicent was horrified though when they came back speckled in blood and dirt. But the smiles on their faces said they were fine.

"Dont worry Ali. Its not my blood."
