"Probably killing Daemon." Jace said hopefully.'Jace....'' Luke warned, he didn't much like Daemon either but he knew better than to say it out loud. Their mother was so smitten with him. But he was controlling and manipulative. Rhaenyra didn't spend much time with her sons of Strong blood so their visits to the capital were always welcomed. The more time that passed Haezel did agree to move on but she knew she would never love Jace like she thought she would. Daeron was her future and she was very confident in that.
''See? I told you this would still be here. Mama Dav is sentimental with weapons of mass destruction." Jace picked up a sword, one of the old swords from when they were training as children. ''And you thought you could swing Criston's morning star.''
''And you almost took your own head off.'' Luke counted.
''What's your problem?'' Jace questioned.
''Everyone's staring at us.'' Luke told him as his eyes shifted around
''Hyah!'' they heard the men dualling behind them and it made Luke jump.
''No one would question me being heir to Driftmark... if... if I looked more like Ser Laenor Velaryon than Ser Gael Strong.'' Luke hissed, he knew the truth, Davina had told him years ago but still she loved him. It seemed like his own mother resented his bloodline even though he had no control over who Rhaenyra fucked.
''It doesn't matter what they think.'' Jace reminded him, they heard a crowd cheering and a not so distant grunting they ran forward to get a better look as the crowd gasped. Aemonds sword whooshed through the air.
"Well done, my Prince. You'll be winning tourneys in no time." Aemond smiled as the crowd applauded him.
''I don't give a shit about tourneys." Aemond remarked then he saw Jace and Luke staring at him ''Nephews... have you come to train?''
"Hello Aemond." They echoed.
"Welcome back... you bring your parents this time?" Aemond questioned and they nodded annoyed. "Mama Dav will be so thrilled." Aemond added sarcastically.
"Hi Draeya." Luke whispered as she moved through the crowd.
"Hi Luke." She answered hugging him.
"I missed you." Luke said blushing up at her.
"Of course you did. I'm wonderful." Draeya agreed leaning back into Aemond.

''Hold your nerve, your grace." Otto requestioned. Between Viserys fading more and more and now Corlys still missing, Daemon and Rhaenyra here and now the dragons fighting, horny little shits, Davina needed a drink.
"What are you doing?" Alicent pondered.
"Oh if I'm dealing with Vaemond, and cunts one and two I need a drink." Davina remarked as she uncorked the wine.
"Thats actually smart." Alicent agreed reaching for the bottle once Davina got it open she took a swig from the bottle and Davina chuckled but Otto looked appalled.
"Lighten up Otto, shes the queen." Davina reminded him as she took a long sip. "And I'm not drunk enough for your woe is me face." Just then Vaemond came in. Davina stopped listening as she took another sip.
''He may yet live.'' Alicent offered.
"There is always hope." Davina agreed but Davina and Rhaenys were not the biggest fans of one another, perhaps it was for the best if he faded away. But Davina preferred Corlys to Rhaenys the queen that never was. She liked Laenor a lot, they did some great bonding but hell he had to go and get killed.
''But we must be prepared if he does not.'' Vaemond remarked.
"The realm has enjoyed a long peace, a credit to the work of both Jaehaerys and Viserys, but the threat of war looms and the devil just arrived on the shores." Davina added.
"And more just beyond our reach." Vaemond offered. "Do you want a child in charge when that happens?"
''We must, of course... act in the interest of our subjects.'' Alicent agreed looking to Davina, and her father, the Hand. Davina's main concern was her family. Her children, and those that called her Mama Dav as well. She wouldnt see Jace and Luke and Joff hurt because of this. Otto was confident he wanted Vaemond and not Rhaenys because he was a men rule the world type of guy, another reason Davina and him didnt get along.
''The next Lord of the Tides will be deeply in your debt, Your Grace. As will Driftmark... in all its strength." Vaemond encouraged.
"Luke doesn't want it." Davina remarked. 'He still gets sea sick, I would rather it stay with a man that has lived the seas. Luke would be miserable."

''Grandmother?'' Rhaena questioned
''Rhaena. Baela said you might be here.'' Rhaenys remarked hugging her.
''She's done well as your ward. You've, um... raised her admirably.'' Rhaenyra said coming up behind them in the gardens.
''You honor me, Princess.'' Rhaenys said softly her face pinched slightly ''Might I speak to the Princess alone, Rhaena?'' Rhaena nodded heading off.
''Princess.'' Rhaena said heading inside.
''I wondered for many an hour what your purpose was in coming here. Whether you'd speak for or against the suit brought by Ser Vaemond. But then, I realized... you intend to advocate for yourself.'' Rhaenyra remarked calmly. ''This is no fair proceeding. It is a trap set by the Queen and the Hand, I'd wager, to proclaim my son illegitimate.'' Rhaenyra knew Davina was sneaky but she also knew she cared for her sons but Luke would have driftmark. Because Rhaenyra demanded it.
''Yet you did worse than that with Laenor. Did you not?'' Rhaenys spat.
''I loved your son. You may not believe it to be true, but I did. I did not order his death. Nor was I complicit in it. I swear this to you.'' Rhaenyra didn't kill Laenor. He was in fact still very much alive. It was the truth everything she said, the truth. Rhaenyra was good at twisting the truth. She did it to Alicent claiming Daemon never touched her all those years ago, therefore her virginity must be intact. Her reputation untainted. She was good at twisting the truth to be partially right.
''I'll make you an offer. Back Luke's claim, and let us betroth Laena's children to mine. Baela will be Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and her sons will be heirs to the throne. Rhaena will rule in Driftmark, and... the seat will pass to her and Lucerys's children in time.' Rhaenyra said quickly.
'A generous offer.'' Rhaenys agreed ''Or a desperate one.'' She added stiffly
'' What does it matter?' Rhaenyra countered and Rhaenys chuckled softly.
''You are right in this, at least. It does not matter.'' Rhaenys agreed ''You can bargain with me all you like. Bring my granddaughter with you to soften my resolve. But tomorrow, the Queen and the Hand land their first blow. They force you to your knees... and I must stand alone."
