They Found Out

"Recognize; Superboy, B04. Miss Martian, B05."

Connor and M'gann entered Mount Justice hand-in-hand. M'gann was laughing at something Connor had said, and Connor was smiling just because she was.

"The lovebirds are baaaaaack!" Wally sing-songed. Artemis shoved another handful of chicken whizzies into his mouth to keep him from saying anything, but it was too late.

The couple looked up at the uneasy silence following Wally's comment. Robin was trying- and failing -at doing the Batman disappearing thing, Kaldur and Raquel had both found the pattern on the floor quite intriguing, and Zatanna was maybe a little too interested in her book of spells.

And then they noticed why everyone was acting so awkward.

They noticed the two Leaguers in the middle of the room.

Superman raised an eyebrow at his brother. "Kon, what's going on here?" He asked at the same time J'onn said, "where have you been?"

"Uhm..." Connor turned red as he and M'gann both let go of each other's hands.

If every moral bone in his body wasn't holding him back, J'onn almost didn't dare to admit that he was tempted to read Superboy's memory and find out exactly what Connor had been doing with his niece.

"Uncle J'onn, please, it's not like-"

"We'd never-"

"He'd never hurt me!"

"I'd never hurt her!"

M'gann stepped closer to Connor, gripping his hand tightly while her uncle and Superman held a telepathic conversation, one she didn't dare listen in on.

"Very well." J'onn said at last. "We have come to a conclusion."

"You two may continue to date."

M'gann almost breathed a sigh of relief, but she braced herself, knowing that the "BUT" was about to drop.

J'onn spoke up, "But-" yup, there it was, "You must tell the both of us every thing that occurs when you are alone in each other's company."

He leaned in closer until his nose nearly touched Connor's.

"Every. Detail."

The two then, thankfully, proceeded to leave via zeta-tube, and Connor and Megan both let out a breath that they hadn't known they'd been holding.

"That was...tense." Connor shuddered.

"Yeah," M'gann offered a shaky laugh. "But now they're gonna make it harder for us to hang out and...stuff." She said sadly.

Connor got a daring look in his eye, "Then does that mean I won't be able to do...this?" He asked. Before M'gann could say a word he swept her off her feet and promptly kissed her on the lips.

Haha I've wanted to write one of these for a while now XD.
