Possible Feels Ahead. Just a warning. But I mean COME ON, you don't write a flipping SUPERMARTIAN book and leave  out the feels!

"Let us through," Wally demanded. Superman, Batman, and the Flash had formed an almost impenetrable wall between the Medical center and the boys.

Zatanna, Artemis, and Miss Martian had gone on a mission to Bialya, an all-girls mission because of Queen Bee's power to control men. It was simple, they were supposed to get in, get the data, and get out.

It didn't work that way.

"Zatanna and the others are in too critical a condition to receive visitors. You'll get to check on them later."

"Don't joke, Batman!" Robin snapped angrily, "I read Doctor Midnite's medical report, there might not BE a later!"

"Get out of the way!" Connor yelled at their mentors. He was just about ready to punch Superman square in the jaw, but then Robin did something unexpected.

He punched BATMAN in the jaw.

Kid Flash took the momentary distraction and sped past his uncle, heading for Artemis's room. Robin leaped over Batman and Connor pushed past Superman, all their mentors were too shocked to react.

Connor quickly checked with his infrared vision and saw Zatara (Doctor Fate had momentarily released him to allow him to tend to his daughter) trying to keep Robin out of Zatanna's room, Green Arrow and Artemis's mom not even bothering to try and keep Wally away from his girlfriend, and Martian Manhunter standing watch over M'gann, lying still in her bed.

He ran faster, and like GA, Manhunter made no resistance to Connor's arrival. He walked around to the foot of her bed and what he saw sickened him.

Slash marks ripped open her stomach, and martian blood still poured from her wounds. Her head had a large purple bruise on the side, and burn marks up and down her arms.

The respirator over her mouth fogged up every second or so, letting Connor know she was still alive.

"M'gann, M'gann can you hear me?" Connor asked desperately, grasping her delicate hand in his strong one. It felt so small, so fragile. He repeated the question in his head, but he received no reply that way either.

"Connor..." M'gann moaned in her sleep. Superboy gripped her hand tighter, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.

He felt a hand on his shoulder, but his eyes were only focused on M'gann.

"Connor," Superman said. Connor didn't move.

"Kon-El," Superman said, a little louder this time.

Connor sighed and gently put her hand down.

"Take care of her, please," He begged Martian Manhunter, "I can't lose her."
