Rainy Day

16K MY GOSH I'M CRYING.

Sorry to ColleenODriscoll because I promised her a little SuperMartian somethin' somethin days ago but I didn't have time, so it's short and sweet, but here's a big thank-you for your SuperMartian fanfic! I'm so sad that it's over, but it really was one of the best things I've read.

(Disney movies and Young Justice, man, it's BEAUTIFUL)

Megan squealed. "Rain!" Spreading her arms along with the corners of her mouth in a joyous smile, she ran out of the safety of the school doors and into the ocean falling from the sky.

A few of the students laughed and pointed at the cheerleader who had no cares about getting sopping wet in the rain. Connor didn't understand why they were doing that. She was having fun, wasn't she? Weren't people allowed to have fun?

Then they started mocking the way Megan was dancing. He could see her face as she spun around, more slowly now. She tried to act like it didn't bother her, but he could tell that it did.

"Hold these." Connor shoved the books he was carrying- his and M'gann's- at the closest person, who just so happened to be Marvin, and ran out into the rain after M'gann. 

She had almost stopped, her back to the school, but Connor's strong hands grasped her waist for a split second before he tossed her up in the air.

Just like that, her smile was back. M'gann squealed as she spread her arms, making sure to land safely in his arms again.

She threw her arms around his neck, giving Connor the opportunity to spin her around. Now they were both soaked, and Wendy and Karen were both trying to pull Marvin and Mal out into the rain too. The students who had been poking fun at her a second ago weren't acting so cocky now. Some were just standing there, while others were walking away.

"Oh my gosh," M'gann kissed Connor as soon as her feet were back on the ground. "Thank you so much, Connor." 

Karen and Wendy were splashing in the puddles, trying to soak their wimpy boyfriends. Mal responded by splashing in the puddle along with them, nearly causing a tidal wave, and Marvin relented to the fate that there was no way that he would stay dry.

Connor kissed M'gann- although a cliche kiss in the rain was something he told himself that he'd never do- M'gann was worth it all.

"No, M'gann, thank you."
