Part 16 : Surprise

The incident at GMM turned out to be a total catalyst - he'd been walking around grinning behind his mask all day like a creep, answering P'Mew's messages on Line and blushing every damn time there was a new link to another questionable site the older man said was worth checking - and Gulf blamed it on that brief encounter at the station entirely.

Somehow, that little stunt P'Mew did wasn't only surprising, it also made their already normally high blood pressure-inducing conversations all the more - enticing.

To be fair, it wasn't like he wasn't an active participant in all of it because he was. It was difficult to pretend he had no idea where the conversation was heading, given how embarrassingly explicit most of their topics were after that 'accidental hand-brush' earlier, and Gulf knew he shouldn't even try.

Somehow, knowing he had only a few days to get himself ready obviously didn't help.

They were on their way to his last job for the day - a quick meet-and-greet at a record store in a mall - and checking the last link P'Mew sent him on Line as discreetly as he could manage it when he received another message from the other man.

Have you checked the last link I sent you? Informative, isn't it?

Gulf tried not to choke as he swallowed the urge to laugh, taking a quick glance to the front just to check if P'Best was paying attention to him before he started typing.

I did. Although, I must say I am having a hard time focusing on it when P'Best keeps on glancing at me through the mirror, as if he knows I'm up to no good. But seriously though, Phi, I honestly think you're underestimating me. I mean, I know I've said I lacked the experience, but that doesn't mean I have no idea how it works.

I was given the impression that you have never had an intimate encounter with a man before though, or, was I wrong?

Gulf swallowed through the embarrassment that took temporary residence in his throat and started typing.

You're not, but it's not like it's an entirely different ballgame, because it's not, right? The only difference is that, well, we're both guys. But it shouldn't be a problem, I think, especially when it comes to, you know, navigating, since we're practically built the same way and, you know what, let's just not talk about this.

The laughing emojis that he received as a reply made his eye roll in answer, and his chest expanding on a deep breath right after when it was quickly followed with,

I'm just trying to be helpful, Nong, really. I'm also hoping you know what you're signing up for when you said you wanted me. And that it's still not too late for you to back out if you think you're not ready.

There you go again, Phi. I thought we already discussed this. I'm not changing my mind, no matter what you say. And if you think sending me all these links will scare me away, I'm sorry. You're gonna have to try harder than that to scare me off for good.

A thinking emoji was sent next, followed by an obviously teasing reply.

Is that a dare, Nong Gulf? I swear it sounds like you're issuing a challenge.

Gulf felt hot all of a sudden.

And if it is? What are you gonna do about it?

Oh, Nong, you have no idea what I've been wanting to do to you since the first time I laid eyes on you. And as I said, I'm trying not to rush things with you, but you're making it especially difficult for me to stick to the plan and not fuck things up by giving in. But as it is, you're just - you're too much, and I'm done pretending I'm fine with taking things slow too, obviously. You have to forgive me.
