Zoe's POV
"Are you excited to see Uncle Ramone and Auntie Lola?" I asked Junior, fastening him into his car seat. My siblings are flying in to spend this last month of my pregnancy with me, just in case I have the baby early.
"Yes, yes, yes!" He exclaimed.
I giggled and shook my head. He is always so enthusiastic. "And Sasha is coming to."
His eyes widened. "OH BOY!" He shrieked. He adores his older cousin.
I laughed and covered my ears. "Keep it down, sweetie. You're going to scare your little sister." I said, rubbing my stomach.
"Sorry..." He responded in the lowest whisper possible.
I chuckled and reached for my seat belt as the driver got in the car and started the engine. My personal assistant, Jessie, hopped in right after.
"Ready to go?" He asked. I ignored him and continued to struggle with my seatbelt. "Oh my god... you can't even fit into the seat belt." He pointed out.
I looked up at him and tried to hold back my smile. "Shut up, Jessie."
He giggled and scooted over to me. "Here, let me help you..." He stretched the seat belt carefully and wrapped it around me, clicking it on the other side. "There."
I sighed in relief as I got comfortable. "Thanks, Jess." I said. He just nodded. "Jessie..." I called to him, placing my hand on top of his.
He looked over at me. "Yes?"
"I'm glad you're back." I admitted.
He gave me a weird look. "I'm sorry, what was that?"
"I said I'm glad you're back."
"You're what?" He asked again.
I rolled my eyes as I realized he was teasing me. "Oh, shut up..." I giggled.
He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Thanks, Boss. I knew you couldn't live without me anyway..."
Jessie was my personal assistant for 2 years, but after Michael and I started receiving threats, I fired him. I didn't think it was fair for me to put his life in danger like that. He was really upset. He didn't want to leave the job, and he said he didn't care about the danger. We got into a pretty big argument, and things didn't end on good terms. A couple of weeks ago, I asked him to come back. He's always been such a big help, and at a time like this, I really need it.
The driver pulled off and I relaxed against the seat. We're in for a 2 and a half hour drive, because my siblings thought it was necessary to fly into LA instead of a city that's closer. It's times like this that I wonder how we're really related. I obviously have the most sense in the family. I looked over at Junior, who was telling Jessie some silly story about dinosaurs. That little boy is such a people person. I have no idea where he gets it from, because Michael can be shy at times and people say I come off as rude. Maybe he just has the perfect mixture of the two. I yawned and caressed my stomach, feeling my eyes get heavy. Before long, I was in a deep and very comfortable sleep.
"I never loved you." Michael spat, ripping my clothes out of the closet and throwing them at me.
"Michael, how can you say that?" I cried. He suddenly threw a box of shoes my way and I ducked.
"Just get out! We're all better off without you!" He screamed.
"I don't understand! You said we wouldn't argue until the baby was born!"
He squinted his eyes and stopped throwing things. He gave me an evil glare for what seemed like an eternity. Out of nowhere, he lunged at me. "You stupid bitch!" He hissed, pinning me to the wall by my throat.
