Michael's POV
"Say 'Get that nasty incubator away from me Dr. Harding!'" I mimicked, pointing Heaven's tiny finger at him. "I don't wanna see it ever again!"
He laughed and covered the incubator with one of the sheets from the hospital bed. "Alright, no more incubator."
Zoe grabbed Heaven from me and kissed her cheek before placing her in her car seat. "We're ready to go, ain't we baby? Yes we are..."
"Daddy, can she sleep in my bed with me?" Junior asked, tugging on my sleeve. Everyone in the room giggled.
I looked down at him and scooped him up in my arms. "No, she's too tiny to sleep with you, buddy. You'll crush her because you sleep like such a crazy boy."
He shook his head. "No I won't! I will protect her!" He said, getting defensive.
Zoe chuckled as she strapped Heaven into her seat. "We know you won't do it on purpose, baby. But you might on accident."
He folded his arms and looked at the floor. "I will not do it on accident." He argued.
I shrugged. "This is a conversation for later." I said, giving up on explaining it to him right now.
Zoe gave me a look and stepped towards me, kissing my cheek. She pulled away slightly and brought her lips to my ear. "There's another conversation you need to have with him. Remember?" She whispered. I looked at her and nodded. I forgot that I still haven't talked to him about what he saw with Naomi.
"Well, thanks for staying with us. Come back again sometime." Dr. Harding joked, hugging both Zoe and I.
"Of course we will. Very soon." I giggled, throwing a wink at Zoe.
She rolled her eyes and nudged me with her elbow. "We won't be back anytime soon, Doc. Definitely not."
"I don't know... I see another baby in your future." He teased.
She scoffed. "Oh lord don't put that on us, Doc. We got enough babies for now."
"Thanks to you." I said, shaking his hand with the one I wasn't using to hold Junior on my hip. "Bill is going to leave my number with you. We would really love it if you and your family came to visit Neverland some time. Oh and that male nurse is welcome too... Derek was his name I think. I owe him one, so..."
Dr. Harding grinned and patted my shoulder. "I'm sure my wife and kids would love that very much, Mr. Michael. Thank you."
"No, thank you." I said sincerely.
"Oh, and one more thing..." He added.
"Yes?"
"No nooky until after the six week check up."
Zoe's jaw dropped and she hid her face in embarrassment. Nooky? Once again, way to be appropriate. "We'll try to control ourselves, Doc. But I don't know if she can handle it." I teased. She slapped my arm and blushed. Well that's a first, since when is Zoe the shy one?
Bill entered the room with two more guards, Wayne and Tom, and signaled to us that it was time to go. We said our goodbyes to Doc and the nurses once more. Lola and Ramone and the others are already waiting for us at the house, along with Zoe's parents and everyone in my family. Zoe passed Heaven's car seat off to me and I passed Junior to her. Once Wayne and Tom had gathered all of our things, which there was a lot of since we spent almost 2 weeks here, we exited the room. This is our first outing with the new addition to the family.
"Is there a crowd outside?" Zoe asked as we got into the elevator.
"Yes, a huge crowd." Bill responded.
My eyes widened. "Bill you were supposed to have the people cleared out so we can leave safely."
"We will leave safely, trust me." He said, pressing the button for the very top floor.
"Why are we going up?" I asked.
"We're going to the roof. A helicopter awaits."
"A helicopter, really? Wouldn't it have been easier to just clear the people out?" Zoe questioned.
"No way." Wayne chuckled. "Them people ain't moving. They want to see a baby."
I sighed and looked over to Junior who rested on Zoe's shoulder. "Ready for a helicopter ride, bud?"
His head shot up. "A helicopter? Oh boy oh boy!" He cheered.
The elevator door dinged and I gripped the handle on Heaven's car seat as we stepped out of the elevator into a dimly lit hallway, where another security team was waiting for us. They surrounded us and led us down the hall and to a flight of stairs. Once we made our way up them, Bill pushed open a door that led us straight onto the roof.
"Wow!" Junior exclaimed as we approached the noisy helicopter. We ducked our heads down and ran up to it, the guards helping us inside.
We settled into the back with Zoe and I on the far outside and the kids in between us. Bill sat in the front next to the pilot and Wayne and Tom right behind him. I pulled the cover back that draped Heaven's car seat to check on her. Her face was twisted up into a scowl, and I could tell she was crying loudly but I couldn't hear her over the volume of the helicopter blades.
Zoe pouted as she looked down at her, probably upset that she couldn't hold her. I rubbed Heaven's belly gently, hoping to calm her down, and by the love of god it actually worked. She relaxed and stared up at me with her beautiful brown eyes.
The pilot informed us that he was preparing to take off. Junior kicked his feet in anticipation and Zoe had to hold him still. When we finally lifted off, I felt Heaven getting restless again so I continued to rub her belly and brought my lips to her forehead.
That was enough to get her through the lift off, and once we were in the air she was completely calm. Unlike Junior who was losing his mind staring out the window. I looked over to Zoe who was already looking at me much to my surprise. She gave me a warm smile and looked down at the perfectly calm Heaven, then back at me.
Out of no where, she reached her arm across the seats and held the side of my face, pressing her lips to mine. It happened so suddenly that I was in shock at first, but it didn't take me long to get comfortable. I know these lips all too well. She pulled away slightly but kept her face near mine as she gazed into my eyes.
"After you talk to Junior, there's a conversation that we need to have as well." She whispered before backing away and turning her head. I blinked a few times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I stared out the window, replaying the whole thing my head. After that, I really don't know if this no nooky for 6 weeks thing is going to work out after all.
We sat in complete silence the rest of the way, except for the baby's fits of crying and Junior's excitement. When I saw the word Neverland surrounding a massive clock come into view I couldn't help but grin.
"Welcome home, Heaven..." I whispered. "Welcome home, baby girl..."
