Michael's POV

"You're not going to eat?" I asked Zoe, stuffing my face with foods that I really didn't know the name of but tasted great.

She shook her head. "I'm not hungry..."

I looked up from my plate to study her face. "You should try to eat least a little..."

"I'm sure there will be plenty of food when we get there." She assured me.

I sat my fork down and gulped some water, staring at her the whole time. I sat down my glass and cleared my throat. "You're still nervous..."

She groaned. "I'm not nervous, Michael. I'm just not hungry."

"Really? You talked about how much you missed the food the whole flight over. Now we're here and you barely eat?"

She rolled her eyes. "Please chill out."

I wrinkled my eyebrows. "Don't get defensive. I'm just worried about you."

"I said I'm fine. You can worry about something else now." She snapped, getting up from the table and storming to the bedroom.

I looked over at Junior to see if he was bothered by our little argument. He looked up at me and smiled. "Can I have Mommy's trigo con leche?"

My eyes widened a little. "Her what?"

He pointed to a bowl of an oatmeal looking substance on Zoe's plate. "That."

I smiled and passed it to him. "How did you know what it's called?"

He shrugged. "That's just what it's called." He said, dipping his spoon into the bowl.

I shook my head and chuckled as I watched him gulf it down. "Alright, whatever you say..."

While he enjoyed the rest of his breakfast I decided to check on Zoe. I went to the bedroom and peeked my head in the door. She was standing by the window and staring out at the ocean. I approached her quietly and wrapped my arms around her from behind.

She jumped slightly but relaxed when she realized it was me. "Hi..." She said softly.

I kissed her shoulder. "Tell me what's wrong, baby..."

She sighed. "I already told you-"

"And I heard you. Now tell me the truth."

I could tell she wanted to argue but something convinced her not to. She placed her arms on top of mine and rubbed them up and down. "What if they don't like me?"

"Why wouldn't they like you? You're their family."

"But what if they don't see me that way? They'll probably wonder why I never reached out to them or sent them money or at least visited..."

"They won't think that..." I assured her, hugging her tighter. "They'll be happy that you're here now and enjoy the time that they have with you."

She took a deep breath. "I hope you're right."

I kissed her ear and then her neck. "You know I am." I mumbled against her skin. "And you know what else?"

"Hmm?"

"Tonight I'm making love to you..." I pointed out the window and toward the beach. "Right there."

She gasped and turned around to face me. "No you're not!" She giggled.

I grabbed her waist and kissed her forcefully. She laughed and tried to push me away at first but eventually relaxed and gave in. I pushed her against the window tugged on her bottom lip with my teeth, making her moan softly.
