Santa Barbara Co. Hospital

Zoe's POV

"Wake up Mommy!" I heard a soft voice screech into my ear. I jumped and flickered my eyes open too see Junior leaning on the hospital bed right into my face.

"Get down!" Michael scolded him. "I told you not to wake her."

I smiled. "It's okay, baby... I'm happy to see you." I did my best to sit up and give Junior a tight hug. Michael stood from his seat across the room and came over to adjust the settings on the bed so I could sit up comfortably.

After he got it just right, he bent down and placed a soft kiss on my lips. "Good morning, honey."

"Good morning." I grinned.

"Can I say it now, Daddy?" Junior asked in a hushed tone.

Michael gave him a weary look but nodded. "Go ahead..."

Junior turned back towards me with a big smile. "Happy Mother's Day!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms around my neck.

"Be careful, Junior." Michael warned him. He acts like at the drop of a dime I can just snap in half.

"I'm fine, Michael." I giggled at his worried expression. I hugged Junior closer to me and kissed his cheek. "Thank you so much, baby. I forgot all about Mother's Day."

"Today is going to be the best Mother's Day of all time! Daddy is going to-"

"Junior!" Michael snapped. "That's enough."

Junior folded his arms and pouted. I giggled and flicked his bottom lip. "Daddy's been giving you a hard time, huh? Oh my poor baby..."

Michael scoffed. "I haven't been hard on him. He's just been hardheaded."

"That's because he misses his Mommy. Ain't that right, baby?"

Junior nodded, cuddling up to me. I laughed and kissed him on the cheek again. God knows I miss him and my baby girl dearly. Being cooped up in this hospital without them is like hell. Michael is always here, and I appreciate all of the time he spends by my side, but I feel incomplete without my babies. I wish they could live in this hospital room with me.

Michael walked back over to his seat and picked something up before walking back toward me. He sat a shopping bag with the word "Melino" written across it on my lap. Melino is my clothing line, named after my grandfather.

I smiled up at him. "What's this?"

He rolled his eyes. "Look inside, silly."

I peeked inside the bag. "Is this..." I trailed off as I pulled the clothing out. It was a 2 piece jogging suit from our fall collection, that I spent a lot of time working on but never got to see because I'm pretty much confined to this hospital bed.

I remained speechless as I ran my hands over the fabric. It's the classiest jogging suit of all time. That was my whole goal. To make a jogging suit that was cute and comfy at the same time. I can't believe it turned out so perfectly.

Michael kissed the top of my head. "Go shower and put it on. We have a long day ahead of us." He whispered against my short hair.

My eyes widened. "What?"

He smiled. "No questions. Just do it. Bill's taking us home in 45 minutes."

I continued to stare at him. "Michael you can't just take me. I have to be discharged."

"All of that has been taken care of. You will spend the day with us and come back tonight..."

"But-"
