One week later

Michael's POV

"How's the cake, buddy?" I asked Junior as he stuffed his face.

"Mhmmmm..." He mumbled in response.

I snickered quietly. Must be pretty good cake. I looked down at mine and, as good as it looked, I have no appetite for it. I sat it beside me on the floor and grabbed a book off of the coffee table, searching for a story to read Junior when he's done. We do this every night now, when I'm not in the studio. This is our only alone time these days. Since Lola snapped on me, I stopped eating dinner with the family. To make sure that we still get to bond, Junior leaves the table at dessert and eats it in the library with me. I spend most of my day in here or in the studio anyway, trying to avoid another conflict with Zoe's psycho sister. Okay, she's not actually psycho. She's just very passionate when it comes to her family, and I understand that. I'm the same way. I just really wish she wouldn't treat me like a bad guy. In all honesty, it's Zoe's fault for telling her family about our issues, trying to pin them against me. That's so messed up. I never told anyone in my family about all of the fucked up stuff she did to me, because it's none of their business. Just like what's going on with us right now is none of Lola's business.

Speaking of what's going on right now, I'm starting to have a really hard time with this new lifestyle. I mean, Zoe and I are divorcing, and I cut Lisa off, so there's no one to... fulfill my needs. I'm getting frustrated, and restless. Sometimes I want to call Lisa just to have her for one more night but I know she would never go for it. Besides that, it would probably hurt Zoe's feelings, and we agreed not to argue anymore.

"I'm done." Junior announced.

I blinked away my thoughts and nodded. "Good. Ready for a story?"

"Yes, Peter Pan, please."

I wrinkled my eyebrows. "We finished Peter Pan yesterday, buddy. We have to start a new book now."

"No... Peter Pan." He argued.

I chuckled. "So you really want me to start all the way over from the beginning?" I asked.

He gave me a look like I was stupid. "Yes, Daddy... You can't start from the middle...." He said sarcastically.

I smiled. "Look at you being a little smart alek. I think we should've named you Zoe Jr."

He folded his arms. "You should've named me Peter Pan Jr." He stated.

I stared at him for a second before shaking my head. What am I going to do with this boy as a teenager? He'll drive me insane. "Okay, let's start all over shall we..." I said, reaching for the book on the coffee table. I took a deep breath and prepared myself for a long night. Turning to the first page, I cleared my throat and read, "All children, except one, grow up..."

The Next Day
Zoe's POV

"I'm just excited to get this girl out of me." I giggled into the phone.

"And I'm sure Michael is excited as well..." My doctor responded.

"He sure is. I'll go ahead and tell him about the appointment so he can clear his schedule."

"Good idea. See you in a few days."

"See ya, Doc." I said before hanging up the phone on the wall in the hallway. I smiled to myself. According to the doctor, my baby girl may be coming a little earlier than expected. I'm so excited, I just can't wait to have her in my arms.

I trudged down the hall and toward the stairs, planning to give Michael the news. I should probably ask someone to help me upstairs, but I'm so excited that I can't wait. Before I even got my foot on the first stair though, my brother came running down them.

"Hey, Sis. What's up?" He asked, seeming panicked.

I eyed him suspiciously. "Not much... Are you okay?" I asked.

He nodded nervously. "Yeah! Did you need something from upstairs? Just tell me what it is and I'll bring it to you."

I shook my head. "I was actually going to talk to Michael." I said, trying to move around him.

He stepped to the side, blocking my path. "He's asleep, I'm pretty sure."

"Then I'll wake him up... This is pretty important." I responded, still trying to figure out why he was acting so weird.

"Well just tell me and I'll tell him. So you don't have to walk all the way up the-"

"Ramone, please move." I said sternly.

He shook his head and held his ground. "I can't do that."

I scrunched my eyebrows. "Why not?"

"Don't listen to him. Come on up here." Lola chimed in, coming down the stairs behind Ramone.

"Lola, chill out." Ramone scolded her.

"Let her go up the stairs, Ramone." She shot back.

"Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?" I interrupted, growing agitated.

Ramone looked at me with sympathy in his eyes and took a deep breath. "I just don't want you to get hurt anymore, okay? Don't go up there..."

Lola scoffed. "She should know the truth. Go upstairs, Zoe."

Out of plain curiosity, I decided to go up the stairs, completely unaware of what would happen when I got up them. I took a step forward and Ramone blocked me again.

"Zoe, list-" He began.

"Move." I ordered.

He obeyed and stepped out of my way, allowing me to struggle up the stairs on my own.

Michael's POV

"Oh yes, baby.... Oh, God, yes!" She squealed as I pumped in and out of her, rolling my hips slowly to make sure I was driving her wild.

"Damn, girl..." I hissed, dropping my head to her neck and sucking on it.

"Oh, Michael! Faster... Faster baby please!" She begged.

I picked up the pace to please her, causing her to arch her back and moan deeply. "You feel so good... Shit.... Oh, Naomi..."

I placed one hand on the headboard as I gave it to her even harder and faster, making the whole bed shake. It seemed like nothing could ruin this moment, so in the midst of all of the moaning and panting, I somehow failed to notice when the door opened....

"MICHAEL, HOW COULD YOU?"
