Zoe's POV

"ZOE! BIENVENIDA! HOLA, ZOE!" A swarm of people shouted, chasing our car down the street. Well actually, they were mostly surrounding the car, because there were so many people in the street that we weren't moving.

I smiled and blew kisses to them. I can't believe so many people were excited for my arrival. I haven't even been here since I became a celebrity.

Michael grinned as he stared at all of the people. "This is incredible, Zoe. Can you believe this?"

I shook my head. "No, I can't. It's beautiful. I don't deserve all of this love."

"Maybe you mean more to them than you think you do." He suggested.

I shrugged and gazed back out the window. "I want to say hello to them." I reached for the handle to roll down the window but someone quickly caught my wrist.

"Are you crazy? You can't do that." Bill scolded. "They'll rip us all to shreds."

I rolled my eyes. "I just want to greet them... I mean, look at all of this. I have to say something."

"You can say whatever you want when we're somewhere safe. Not here, in the middle of the road, where we're surrounded."

I scoffed and looked at Michael. "Why did you invite him?"

"Why did you invite him?" He gestured to Jessie who was sitting a row behind us in the SUV.

Jessie's head snapped up. "To babysit your hooligan." He responded.

I looked at Junior who was reaching across to me to touch the window, thinking the people outside could see him. He's kinda acting like a hooligan at the moment. We decided to leave Heaven at home with Michael's mother. I really don't think it's good for her to take a huge vacation like this just yet.

"BIENVENIDA, ZOE! BIENVENIDA, ZOE!" The crowd chanted, clapping their hands to the rhythm.

Unable to ignore them any longer I rolled down the window and stuck my hand out. "Te amo! Gracias, Monte Cristi!"

"Zoe!" Bill shouted at me, trying to pull my arm back into the car.

The people grew ten times louder as they all fought to touch my arm. Bill reached across me and began rolling the window up, forcing me to bring my hand back inside the car.

"You are so hardheaded." He complained.

I sat back against the seat. "I just wanted to acknowledge them."

"Señora Jackson." The driver, Victor, called to me.

"Sí?" I responded.

"Did you have anywhere you wanted to go before we reach the hotel?"

"Well yes, but... All of the people..."

"The next road is blocked off, so no one can follow us."

I smiled, excited that we would get to enjoy our stay as normal people, even though I truly appreciated the love from the fans. It was kind of funny though, because all of those people were going crazy for me, but they had no idea that Michael Jackson was in the same car.

"I would really like to go see my old neighborhood."

"Do you remember where it was?"

"Sure. It was really close to Mella St. It was called La Vida back then."

"La Vida? It's still named that. And it's not far."

I suddenly began to feel anxious and I rubbed my hands together nervously. "Um... Victor... Do you remember the hurricane of '77?"
