Michael's POV

I tried my hardest not to cry as she continued toward me. I couldn't help but think of spending the rest of my life with her. It was hard to wrap my head around at first, but now I'm ready to commit again. I know it's for the best.

I thought back to my proposal and chuckled softly. It was pretty horrible actually. I'm surprised she even said yes.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked.

I smiled and shrugged. "I guess I'm just captivated by your beauty."

Her eyes lit up. "Awwww look at you being all mushy..."

I giggled. "Only for you."

She raised an eyebrow. "Yeah?"

I nodded. "Of course. You're my one and only, baby..."

She blushed and turned away from me. "Stop it..." She chuckled shyly.

I grabbed her face and turned it back to me. "Marry me." I blurted.

She scrunched her eyebrows. "What?"

I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Uh... I said marry me..."

She smiled to ease my nerves. "Well where's the ring?"

My eyes widened. "Oh yeah... About that. I didn't really think this through..." I said, silently cursing myself.

She giggled and leaned in toward me, rewarding me with her sweet and soft kisses. "It's okay, we'll get a ring later. As of now we have a wedding to plan."

I was startled out of my day dream by the sound of the pastor's voice. "Who gives this woman away?" He asked.

Her father smiled. "I do." He kissed her forehead and handed her off to me.

Tears flew down my face as she stepped up to the altar in front of me, holding my hands in hers. I noticed she was crying too and threw her a wink, which made her giggle.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the eternal union of this man and this woman. Today, we will speak of love. But not the love people speak of when they see someone they find attractive. And not the love people speak of that gives them 'butterflies'. Tonight we speak of undying and everlasting love, similar to the love Jesus had for his disciples, and God has for all of his children. Now, if anyone has any objection in regards to this marriage, please speak now or forever hold your peace..."

She turned to the guests and placed a finger to her lips, urging them to remain quiet. Everyone laughed softly.

"Alright. The bride and groom have written their own vows, which they will now recite."

I smiled and looked at her, waiting for her to begin. She smiled and waited for me to begin.

I leaned in close to her. "You go first." I whispered.

"No, you first." She responded.

The crowd giggled at our banter. The pastor smiled and stepped toward us. "Shall we resort to rock, paper, scissors?" He joked.

Everyone laughed again. I shook my head. "No, it's fine. I'll go first."

He patted my shoulder and winked. "Good choice."

I chuckled as I reached into the inside pocket of my jacket, pulling out a piece of paper. My hands shook as I held it out in front of me, and I took a deep breath before beginning.
