Michael's POV

I stormed down the path back to the main house on my way back from the studio. This new album will never be completed. It's already been 3 years, and the people are getting impatient. But what the hell am I supposed to do? Everyone on my team wants to argue over the music instead of doing what I tell them to do. It's too damn frustrating.

Something on the ground caught my ankle and lost my footing, slamming to the ground face first. "Shit!" I exclaimed. I looked at my foot and noticed that I tripped over one of Junior's toy trains. Can this day get any worse? I stood up and brushed myself off, looking around to see if anyone saw that. Looks like I'm in the clear. I half-limped half-walked back to the house and made my way inside.

I heard soft humming from the kitchen, so I peeked my head inside. Zoe was bent over digging through the fridge. And when I say bent over, I mean all the way over.

I cocked my head to the side and smirked. "Nice view."

She gasped and twirled around. "You scared me. You pervert." She said rolling her eyes.

I giggled and approached her. "You were the one showing it off. I was just admiring."

She scoffed and tried to push past me but I grabbed her waist. "Move out the way." She said, trying to hold back her smile. I refused and brought her face to mine, kissing her softly.

I broke the kiss and sighed, hugging her close to me. "Let's watch a movie or something. I had a bad day."

She snorted, trying to stifle a laugh. "Oh yeah? Why is that?" She asked. I pulled away a little to look her at her. She quickly put her acting skills to work, seeming genuinely concerned, but the smile in her eyes gave her away.

"You saw me fall didn't you?" I questioned.

She pretended to be surprised. "Heck no. You fell?"

I rolled my eyes. "Heck no? Really? Since when do you avoid cursing?"

She shrugged. "Ever since you took a spill outside."

I cut my eyes at her. Before I could even say anything she was clutching her sides as she laughed loudly. "Why is my discomfort always funny to you?" I asked.

"Be... because..." She held up a finger as she struggled to stop laughing. "Your face..." She continued, trying to catch her breath but falling out in laughter again.

I took a step back and eyed her as she giggled on. Even though she was making me fun of me, I loved seeing her smile so much. It's been a long time since she's smiled like that in my direction. It's a beautiful sight, for sure. And the sundress she has on right now... Lord give me the strength. She wasted no time getting back into a workout routine after giving birth, and after only 2 months she's already back in shape. Maybe even in better shape than she was before the baby.

"I've been thinking..." She said, finally calming down from her laughing session. "I would really like to go see my family."

I wrinkled my eyebrows. Oh, God no. "Your family was just here."

"Not them. My family in Monte Cristi." She explained.

"Oohhhh." I nodded in understanding. "That sounds like a great idea. I'm sure they miss you. When's the last time you visited?"

"I haven't been back since I was 16. When we moved away." She said, sounding ashamed.

"I never knew that... What about the others in your family?"

"They've all been back. They go as a family every couple of years."

"Why haven't you ever gone with them?"
