Michael's POV

As discreetly as possible I slid away from the loud group of people, all surrounding baby Heaven and chattering away. When no one noticed me leaving, I turned and dashed out of the room. Putting my family and Zoe's family together is never a great idea. They both talk too much. I went to find all of the younger kids, assuming Junior would be with them. I peeked my head out of the back door and saw them sitting in a circle on the grass. Looks like duck duck goose, since Junior is walking around the circle and touching the top of everyone's head.

I stepped outside and started to make my way over to them, but stopped when I got a funny feeling that someone was near me. I turned around and almost had a heart attack.

"Jessie!" I gasped, clutching my heart. He was sitting in a patio chair and staring me down. "What are you doing?"

He gestured toward the group of children. "Watching the kids." He responded.

I nodded and gulped as I calmed myself down from the shock. "I didn't see you there at first. You scared the hell out of me."

He chuckled dryly. "Uh huh."

I noticed he was looking at me up and down with a smug look on his face. "What?" I questioned.

He looked at my face. "What?"

"You're looking at me like something's wrong."

He nodded slowly. "Yeah..."

I scrunched my eyebrows. "Is there a problem?"

He nodded again. "Yes, there is." He replied, giving me the once-over with his eyes again.

I folded my arms. "And what's that?"

He scoffed. "Those trousers."

I blinked a few times trying to process what he said. "What? Trousers?"

He stood up and walked closer to me. "Yes. They're brown and... corduroy." He said with disgust as he looked down at my pants.

I looked down at them and then back up. "Okay... And?"

He rolled his eyes. "You look like a grandpa. And a blue silk shirt with it? Oh god..."

I shook my head. "My outfit really bothers you that much?"

He nodded quickly. "It bothers me deeply. Let me take you shopping for casual clothes. I mean your attire to big events is always on point. But for around the house... You could use some help."

I rolled my eyes. "The way I dress around the house is fine."

He gave me a blank stare. "No it isn't."

I sighed. "Look, your Zoe's assistant, not mine, okay? I don't care about your opinion."

He looked me up and down. "From the looks of it, you don't care about anyone's opinion."

I shook my head. "Dammit, Jessie. Go home."

"I'm babysitting."

"I'll take over. You can leave now."

"Zoe told me to stay." He challenged.

"I told you to go."

He smirked. "Let me take you shopping and I'll leave."

I bit my lip to keep from laughing. Even though he can be frustrating, something about Jessie is always hilarious. "You're really something else, you know that? You're not taking me shopping." I said as I turned away from him, walking toward the kids.
