From the moment Lady Prideful encounters Mr Arrogant, all hell breaks loose. Their mutual intolerance renders them the bane of each other's existence. But, what happens when they become increasingly fixated on one another amidst escalating tensions...
WARNINGS (though these occur in later chapters): Adult humour, mild instances of sexual harassment, strong language, violence, mentions of self-harm, references to drug use & alcohol, themes related to death, and eventual mature scenes.
PERSPECTIVE: This story begins in the third-year and it follows the original timeline and ages. It centres on Adria Harlow, the noble Lady of Willoughby, and is told from her first-person perspective, except for the prologue and epilogue.
SETTING: Willoughby is an all-magic city in Wales, home to magical beings and hidden from Muggles. The people of the place reside in the farms and villages, yet, the Harlow family lives in the grand Château Willoughby, (inspired by Château de Chambord).
ROYALTY: The Harlow family is the sole royal family in the wizarding world, while the Muggle world is governed by a separate British monarchy and is unaware of their existence.
FAMILY: Andrew Harlow, Duke of Willoughby of Welsh origin, is the father of Adria. His wife, Clarissa Harlow (née Huang), the Duchess, is of Chinese descent. Camden Leroy Harlow, Lord of Willoughby is Adria's older brother, and he shares their diverse Chinese and Welsh heritage.
NOTES: I recognise that my writing may initially lack engagement (I was like thirteen alright) but I assure you that my skills improve over time! Also, it's crucial to reiterate that the slow burn is exceptionally slow; when I say it's painful, I mean it with utmost sincerity.
