Shit, I still can't fathom the fact that I single-handedly managed to secure an Exceeds Expectations in Transfiguration.

During the summer, we all received a form in which we would tick the advanced subjects we wanted to take. Luckily for me, I won't have to replace any of my options seeing as I'm accepted in all of them. Ancient Runes, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions and surprisingly, Transfiguration.

Camden had advised me to keep it seeing as the knowledge learnt is applicable to real life. I had merely passed Transfiguration since McGonagall only accepts 'E' and above for her advanced class.

Sixth year is a great year to be in, we have several free periods — for studying obviously. The timetables we were given this year were distributed to us confidentially, probably to avoid the students cheering or complaining about their grades in the Great Hall.

This morning before we had received our envelopes, Theo suggested that we share them later on and not now, which 'keeps the tension and guessing' according to him. But I knew he was lying and just wanted to have some fun when he gave us a time to meet up. Tonight, nine, in the boys' dormitory, we will be sharing our grades.

Daphne and I stroll around the ground floor as we have our free period. Although we both don't know each other's first lesson so, Theo's half-right, it keeps us guessing. I think she'll be in Potions with me for her first period, we'll see.

"... I was flabbergasted! Seriously, she was the last person I'd expect to see there!" Daphne describes an eventful day at The VOW — The Vault Of Wits — where she had stumbled upon her favourite romance author signing books in the bookshop. The girl obviously left with an autographed copy of the same romance novel that she has four copies of already. One gifted from Blaise (also known as the first copy), one that she bought because it had a different cover, one she bought because it had magical moving illustrations, one she purchased because it had a bonus chapter and this, the signed edition, is the final one, for now.

"Did you tell her that this is your fifth version?"

"Darling, of course I did. It's something to proudly brag about, it shows my devotion to her work. She wrote a message with her signature. 'Dear Daphne, I'm currently working on my second book, let me know if you'd like an early sneak peek. I'd like to hear feedback from you especially seeing as you are such a fan.' She put a heart beside my name as well!" Daphne squeals, fangirling.

I know it's time for our first period as the younger years all come out of their classes. Seeing the halls fill within seconds, I sigh.

A young Slytherin girl runs past me at an immense speed, knocking me into a younger year, as an Ever-Bashing Boomerang (a banned item in Filch's extensive list) is raised in her hands. I try to make out who she is but, she's too short for me to pinpoint.

"Katie!" A familiar voice shouts, this time a younger year pushes into me as he runs past.

Alden Crowther chasing Katie Fairfax, of course it's her, what would've I expected from her?
