It's a Friday night and my nerves have been jittery all day.

Prefect patrol.

I've just got to suck it up and push through it. It's been gauche, and I can't decide whether I like it or hate it. I want to insult him, I really do. But I can never do so without there being an unhealthy pause where we just look at each other. I swear I feel so sheepish around him, even if it's just for a second.

Needless to say, it's unnatural. I want things to go back to the way it was before. I hope we collectively decide to forget about this silly kiss and move on. But if so, then how? How do we just pretend as if something like this never happened? Maybe he can but I will never move on from it. I want his touch more so than ever now. I need it.

Never mind that. The girls and I are all in the dormitory. Three girls are in their pyjamas and the other two (cough cough, me and Daphne) are still in school uniform. Daphne doesn't mind the sanction Umbridge gave her of polishing trophies, she's just grateful that it's with Blaise. Vice versa. Polishing the trophies for a month just because of a kiss is a bit too much but, this is the horse-face we are talking about.

Tonight, in the dormitory, the discussion is on boys. I've never been one to be fascinated by them, growing up with Camden just made me think they were weird underdeveloped ghouls.

Fashion, books, and music brings me joy. Boys are the last thing I'd think of. But, we mature as we grow. I mean I probably would've lost my mind if I told my younger self that I wanted to get married like in those pixie-tales. Younger Adria would've most likely had a heart attack and died right then and there on the spot. I don't know, something about seeing my mother and father so happy and in love just makes me want that feeling of comfort myself. So truthfully, this conversation is most interesting.

"... Oh shut up!" Pansy puts her feet up on her vanity. "It's not fair that you two are buddy-buddies, asking me questions about Theo." She looks between Tracey and Milly. "My turn now. Milly, are you and Gregory official?"

The girl pushes her glasses up so that they aren't slipping down her nose. She sheepishly laughs, stroking her cranky cat — Margarine.

"Called it!" Tracey applauses.

"Greg, he asked me out, yesterday. Ah!" She squeezes Margarine and he makes a sort of yelp. "We're going to go out on Sunday, stroll about in Hogsmeade. It'll be just the two of us and I hope that..." She giggles. "Well, you know, we might kiss."

We all celebrate the new couple, Margarine included as he licks Milly on the cheek. I check the time for what seems to be the fiftieth time. Three minutes to duty. I let out a sigh in between the cross of annoyance and anticipation.

"Draco's probably really excited to see you." Milly smiles and I give Margarine a big fat hug to which when I let go, he eyes me down with his same mad and surly aura. Yeah... He and Mrs Norris would not get along.

Tracey laughs before winking. "Oh, he's excited to see you alright."

The girls burst into laughter and I throw a pillow at her face before buckling my shoes and shutting the door behind as Daphne tells me to hurry up.

Daphne practically leaves me behind at her fast pace. No, I'd not like to make haste. But, I do. I'm nervous. Like mega hella nervous. The thought of us being alone together in the dark gives me the heebie-jeebies. Yet, I still have to overcome my problems. Here goes nothing.
