Friday has to be the worst day out of the week for one very specific reason.

Prefect patrol.

See if I was a mean and unprofessional witch then I would simply skip my duty and abandon my prefect partner.

I take my usual spot, opposite Malfoy and next to my best friend. Snape had given me an outstanding on his homework yesterday (which he should have, I spent a considerable amount of time on it) but, that isn't important information. I was the one who told Malfoy to never bring up Wednesday's night occurrence and yet, I'm the one who can't stop thinking about it.

My memories are haunting me and it's disturbing.

All I want to do is eat my breakfast but the idiot in front of me is reading his stupid Daily Prophet and taking a bite of his stupid buttered toast. Has he completely forgotten in his miniature brain about the event? He's been acting unusually normal to me. We hardly talked yesterday and when we did, it would only be insults. That's too ordinary coming from a man like him. I expected him to tease or taunt me about what had happened. But nothing, nothing has changed. He's still the biggest tosser I've ever met.

"Adria." A tender voice I've heard for fifteen years of my life calls me. Good sign, he is addressing me by my nickname even though I'm still mad at him.

"Camden."

He offers me a hand to get up and I decline just because I am petty and hold grudges. He guides me out of the Great Hall and into the entrance.

Camden sighs, "I'm sorry." Thank God he knows how to apologise because I would've never said it first. "I can't influence or force you to dislike McLaggen, I know that now. You're my little sister, Adria, I promised Mum and Dad that I will keep you safe during my time at Hogwarts. I'm just unsure of McLaggen's intentions with you. Forgive me?"

"Not everyone likes each other, I understand that. I'm okay with your friendship towards Malfoy, I just want you to be okay with my friendship with McLaggen. I mean I didn't hide anything from you, me and McLaggen can be publicly spotted anywhere around school. I can be safe by myself, I haven't murdered Malfoy yet." I laugh, "Of course I forgive you."

Hugging Camden is always such a comfort, we haven't done this in a while as this is how we fix all our arguments.

"You can tell me about the letters you and Heather exchange, I've seen her post."

"Now you're pushing it, get back in there." Camden points to the Great Hall before walking off the hallway on his own.

Feeling at ease, I amble into the hall when my eyes meet red robes.

"Cormac! What did Johnson say?"

"Never mind that." He shrugs, "I'm just excited to know that you will be cheering for me."

"Merlin's beard!" I fling my arms around Cormac's neck as he chuckles. He spins me around with his hands firmly on my back. "I knew that you could do it."

The day starts off with Professor Flitwick's Charms. The moment everyone settles down in his class he reminds us all of how important our exams are since it influences our future careers (as if every professor hasn't already said that). The first spell in the curriculum is the Banishing Charm, the incantation is Depulso, we learnt about it last year so it's just revision. Professor Flitwick once again gave us cushions to practice on so it is less hazardous.

"Watch out!"

Then again, Professor has to remember that sometimes there are people who want to kill you. I should tell that to Umbridge too.

I send the pillow back to, the one and only, Malfoy. Thank goodness Blaise warned me because I might have just died.

"Eat this!"
