Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. That was the quickest four months of my life. It's December; the middle of winter. Thank goodness I'm down in Wales and not the Scottish Highlands.
It's the Christmas Holiday, one of my favourite holidays. I received and gave many gifts. My favourite is the signed jersey of Benjy Williams that Daphne had managed to get me. Call me a fangirl but, I could've died on the spot. It even has his personal scent, need I say more?
There is only a week left until we go back to school, the holiday so far is going brilliant. I had a normal Christmas feast with my family and it felt so good since I haven't done it for so long. Remi (our house-elf) also had a nice time, Mum got her drunk.
Speaking of Mum, she calls my name; I head down.
"Yeah?"
"We're planning to go to Wiltshire later, we wanted to bring both you and Camden but he's got music practice so I thought I'd just give you a heads up." Mum gleams in excitement. "Cissy is going to be so happy to see you!"
"Cissy?" I tilt my head.
My parent's personal life has never been an interest of mine, they have plenty of friends and I've met a handful of them. Usually, when they want to introduce me to someone I make up some random excuse to not go. I'm not anti-social or anything, I'm an extrovert, it's just that it gets so boring. No one is ever close to my age. Camden can go off and talk to the blokes who are two years older than him but if I do, it will get uncomfortable. Either way I don't want to associate with men and there is always a larger amount of men than women.
"Narcissa, I've told you about her before, no?" Mum tilts her head back at me. "You had a little feud with Draco Malfoy, her son, but I'm glad that's gone. You've always wanted to talk to someone your age when we go somewhere and he is in the same year as you."
"Narcissa Malfoy? We are going to Wiltshire to see them?" Mum and Dad nod as I continue. "Her son is a prick."
"Language missy." Dad corrects me and Mum laughs.
"Her son is an arse."
Camden takes a bite out of his chicken wing. "Good going, Mum. The death of Lucius and Narcissa's son is in your hands. You should see the two together, I've seen her chase him in the Great Hall and-"
"And you let that happen?" Mum raises an eyebrow and Camden chuckles as he returns to his chewing.
Dad pats my back as I sit on the couch, "Adria, look whatever happens at school can stay in school. It's just tonight, one dinner only. The Malfoys dearly wish to see you again, just be civilised for one dinner."
Sometimes I wish my parents weren't so persuasive, I'm not an easy listener. I can just ignore Malfoy for the whole night. Maybe his parents aren't as bad as him. Who knows? From the way Mum and Dad describe them, they seem very friendly and even Camden likes them so, I won't be prejudiced. To match with the season, I wear a white flowing dress that is layered underneath because I'm freezing.
At least the ground isn't so wet, I've been wearing boots for the whole time in Wales. The Malfoy Manor isn't as impressive as Château Willoughby but, that's just my opinion.
A tall and elegant woman comes walking towards my parents, embracing them into a hug. Getting a good look at her, I've seen her before, she gave me yoghurt at an event. That was some nice yoghurt though.
"Adria!" She takes me in her arms and I lightly pat her on the back resisting the urge to push her off. "Oh it's been too long, you've gotten so tall already!"
Blimey, people age?
Course I didn't say that, Mum would've killed me. "Thank you, Cissy."
Check one, call Mrs Malfoy Narcissa or Cissy otherwise she will feel old.
