Dragons. Battling dragons is the first task. Battling bloody dragons.

The Weasley twins are going around the stadium, taking bets and placing bets. So far, it seems as though everyone at Hogwarts supports Cedric Diggory, including me. There are some Gryffindors that support Potter. The Durmstrang and Beauxbatons assist their own champions.

The stadium we are all in is rather... tight. There isn't much space to move and shift about so that is just lovely for me. There's a teachers box and certain areas where the other two schools can sit. Below us, are large rocks and wide space for the keeping of the dragons. I can't wait for this, who's going to get their head blown off?

Professor Dumbledore conducts a safety speech, telling us all to stay behind the rails and to not attract attention to ourselves. Thanks for that new-found information, I totally wanted a dragon to snap me into half. He tells us to keep in our seats before letting out a literal Sweedish Short-Snout. Each champion picks a dragon to deal with. Each dragon guards a golden egg, that has a hidden clue for the second task, the contestants' goal is to grab the egg.

A cannon bangs indicating that the game has begun.

I cheer out Diggory's name as he steps out of the tent and into the rocky arena. In a life-or-death situation like this, I would save myself. Scratch that, I will save myself. Who cares about that dragon, I would use an unforgivable curse so quickly.

Of course, Diggory isn't like that, like me. He transfigures a rock with many combinations of texture into a dog. The dragon ends up being distracted whilst it plays with the Labrador. I hold my breath, everyone else is dead silent to that Diggory can concentrate. Cautiously and carefully, he approaches the egg. The dragon must have decided that Diggory is much better than the dog when it decided to attack him. The Hufflepuff is on fire, well, on the arm. He'll be fine, just a burn. On the other hand, he managed to retrieve the egg so he's finished the first task. We all cheer as Madam Pomfrey hurries him into the tent full of champions.

"Adria, your dearest lover is hurt." Daphne pouts at me.

I give her an I'm-about-to-kill-you look. I whisper in her ear, "When everyone is silent, I might just yell out that you love Blaise. Your dearest lover deserves to know, after all." She jokingly punches my arm.

Next is Delacour, the girl who is rumoured to be half-Veela. Her pretty blonde hair is pulled back into a slicked ponytail as she steps out, facing the Common Welsh Green. She draws herself closer and closer to the dragon as gentle as a stream of water. She lures the dragon, bewitching it to sleep. Delacour lets out a sigh of relief before moving closer. Her hand is so close to taking the egg. Oh! The dragon lets out a deadly snore, releasing fire from it's nose and setting the girl's skirt on fire. I quietly laugh, this is truly one of the most entertaining moments. The panicked girl in blue thinks fast and extinguishes the fire using the water charm from her wand, she manages to retrieve the egg in one swoop.

Durmstrang's champion and famous Bulgarian Seeker comes out proudly. Not the least bit scared, Krum faces the Chinese Fireball. Swiftly, he uses his wand to hit the dragon with the conjunctivitis curse right in the eye. Nice aim. It is deeply effective as the dragon starts to move away from the golden egg it's protecting, too busy thinking about the agony of the curse. He goes out to fetch his egg, the dragon suddenly tramples on half of the eggs as it is partially sightless. Krum's marks are definitely going to be deducted with that move.

The most interest champion, Potter, comes out last. He's up against the Hungarian Horntail. Mr Crouch set the boy up because I refuse to believe that he is facing one of the most dangerous dragon breeds to exist. Everyone goes silent, even quieter than Diggory's turn. Potter takes a step. The dragon shoots fire at him. Bloody hell, so this is who is going to get their head blown off. I watch more intently than ever, afraid that the dragon might come at me and blow fire everywhere. The boy moves once again, the dragon shoots another spurt of fire. Merlin, that dragon is not happy today. Yikes, it swings it's sharp tail at Potter.
