QOC:

"Friendship is being there when someone is feeling low and not being afraid to kick them."

Aiden:

Aru sat next to me in the car that we were currently taking to a mall nearby because they had a food court there that offered Chaat. Our stomachs were growling and we were really hungry, and my mom did  make lunch, but in reality, cooking isn't her specialty. Baking is, unfortunately.

Sorry mom, I had to save us from food poisoning.

"I'm guessing you like older songs based on the one I just heard you serenade me with?" Aru asked me, smiling slyly.

I sighed. "When are you going to stop asking me about that?"

"When I die," She replied, "You can't get rid of me that easily."

"Unfortunately," I grinned, "I cannot."

A few moments of awkward silence passed. Aru looked at her phone to occupy herself while I stared at the GPS, watching it calculate how many more minutes we had till we got to the food court.

Three more minutes.

"Do you wear that camera all the time?" Aru queried.

I nodded. "Pretty much, sometimes I even sleep with it next to me in my arms."

"Your future wife is going to be jealous, and it's going to be hell." She declared.

I smirked in return. "Who said I would ever get a wife? I have Shadowfax, and that's enough for a lifetime or maybe even two. He helps people see things through my eyes, how beautiful life can really be when you look closely, or in a different light, y'know?"

Aru's eyebrows shot up. "That's really deep. You need to write that down, dude."

I chuckled. "What about you? Do you have any other interests other than binge watching movies and memorizing their lines or being a master at board games?"

She pondered for a moment, resting a finger on her chin. I could see her through the corner of my eye and then a little through the mirror as well. I smiled at her.

Cute... Wait what?

"I'm not sure to be honest," She said, "I like being violent, as you may have noticed, I totally don't lie a lot–"

I raised my eyebrow at her.

"I don't lie, okay! I'm a truthful person."

I raised my eyebrow even more.

"Okay fine, I've lied at least a few times in my life."

I shook my head and laughed. "Go on."

"Okay," She said, bringing her fingers up and counting different hobbies, "OH! Yeah, I love reading about Indian Mythology and then making up stories and scaring others with them!"

"That sounds like something you'd do." I said, pulling up to the mall, "We're here!"

I got out and opened the passenger seat door for her, then we started walking inside. I stopped for a second to take a picture of the cloudy sky, because it was really, really pretty, but I wasn't the only one who noticed it. I ended up accidentally taking a picture of Aru beaming at the gloomy sky, with the wind sweeping her hair to the side.

Woah, not even going to lie on this one, she looks really pretty in this photo. That's a keeper.

"I absolutely love gloomy and rainy days," She exclaimed, breathing in the scent of fresh rain. "It should start raining pretty soon."
