QOC:

"I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you."

~Ben Folds

Aru:

Damn.

That's crazy.

HE SAID I LOVE YOU?!?!?!

WHAAAT???

I walked back up to my room, sun setting in the distance. Everything in that moment felt too right, too good, and I'm not sure how, but I didn't make a fool of myself by doing something very embarrassing. I plopped down onto my bed, phone suddenly buzzing beside me. It was Mini.

"ARU!!!" Mini screeched on the other side of the phone, "SPILL."

Brynne's face glowed on the other side of the screen. "DON'T SAY ANYTHING, YET WAIT FOR ME! I'm currently lecturing Aiden."

I quickly sat up, gripping the phone tightly. "WHAT?"

"Oh hey, Shah! Fancy seeing you here on another phone," He giggled, "Brynne, I'm not gonna do anything, I swear."

She huffed. "Yeah well, that girl is quite literally my sister now, so you better not or I'll kick your ass."

She ended the call and threw her phone across the room behind her, 'accidentally' landing it on Rudy's face, who was sleeping on the couch.

"OW!" He yelled, holding his nose, "WHAT WAS THAT FOR??"

Brynne rolled her eyes, looking back at him. "You existed, period. Now go back to sleep, DJ Snekky Snek."

"Hey!" He called out, "That name took lots of time and effort to come up with. Be nice!"

"Sure took a long time for you to form enough brain cells to even get to that low level," She replied.

The two began to bicker at each other while Mini tried to pull them apart. I laughed loudly and started teasing Rudy too.

"DJ Snekky Snek," I said to myself, giggling hard while wiping a tear from my eyes.

"Okay Rudy," Mini started, leading him back to the couch, "You're just cranky because you're sleepy, so go back to bed."

"But she made fun of my DJ name," He whined.

"Rudy," She warned, "Go to sleep or else I'll make sure you won't sleep at all."

"Okay, okay. Fine. Goodnight, Mini," He said, reaching out for a hug, "I love you."

I could sense her serene, soft smile through the screen as she whispered back to him. "I love you too. Sleep well, my love." She smoothed his forehead and bent down to gently kiss him.

She acts so tough to him but she's not in reality. My Mini's got a huge soft spot for her love. That's so sweet.

She rolled her eyes at my pouty-face. "Okay, okay, before you two start googly-eyeing me, let's get out of this room so that he doesn't wake up again. He needs to get a proper eight hours of sleep."

Brynne grabbed the phone and whispered to her while exiting the room about how she should be giving the same treatment to us, but in reality she has been for the longest while. I guess it's a little different admitting that you love someone whenever you realize it's the truest form of any feeling or emotion you can ever feel. Everyone handles it differently, of course, but it definitely takes time and effort to own up to it and act upon it. It's unique to each person, entirely different at times. But that's what makes it so fun and dangerous. Such a powerful feeling can leave you feeling broken at times. You tend to stray away from it for that reason, because you want to save yourself from that pain. However, what is admirable, is when a person decides that another is worth enough to take the chance to give their fragile heart to.
