Aiden:

"OKAY WELL YOU CAN'T JUST TELL ME THAT DRACO ISN'T HOT THOUGH," Aru screamed at me, in the passenger seat next to me.

We were currently on our way to a fair, which was around thirty minutes away, so we were trying to find ways to pass time. Just two minutes back, Aru had brought up Hogwarts Houses and how she was totally a Hufflepuff, and I shot her down saying, "We've had this conversation before, you're a Slytherin most definitely, Shah."

She wasn't happy with her little 'secret' being told out loud.

Then we got onto the topic of characters from the series, and Aru told me that when she was younger she 'fancied' Draco Malfoy.

I, being completely sane, said he was not someone to fancy.

"YOU ARE NOT SANE!" She fumed, "Draco Malfoy is da–"

I took one hand off the steering wheel and slapped it over her mouth. "Don't even think about finishing that sentence, Shah..."

"–ddy." She removed my hand from her mouth, continuing her sentence, "Or should I say father? As in, 'My father will hear about this!' Y'know what I'm sayin'?"

"Unfortunately I do," I said, pretending to gag, "You never listen, do you, Shah?"

"Hmm? Whaddya say?" She said, jokingly, throwing a cheesy, sweet and playful grin at me.

I laughed. "Oh my gods, you're so adorable, Shah."

FUDGESICLES.

I WASN'T SUPPOSED TO SAY THAT OUT LOUD.

"Uhm," I started, "S-Sorry, I didn't mean–"

"Shut your pretty face up," She said, smiling softly and staring at the road in front of us, "Before you say something crappy and ruin the moment, you idiot."

I tried looking at her through my peripheral vision, and her smile got wider and wider as she looked back down on her phone. A soft red tint was spread across both our cheeks, and for those moments that I was allowed to look at her, I really realized how much I liked her.

"Anyways," She said, "Moving on, what's your favorite flavor of ice cream?"

"Chocolate, all the way," I replied, still burning up from my accidental confession.

She rolled her eyes. "You're boring. In my opinion strawberry's a classic but the best, and then if I need something a little more fancy I'll take mint chocolate chip, duh."

I chuckled. "Yeah, but chocolate tastes rich and fancy by itself."

"Okay so? I'd rather have chocolate straight up."

"Yeah but everything chocolate is always good."

"You're crazy."

"Never denied anything."

"Snob."

"Troll."

The car stopped at the red light, and I turned and grinned straight at her, laughing. She laughed back, playfully resting her hand on my arm and leaning on me for a split second before rocking her weight back onto her seat. It was little moments and things she did like smile truly towards me that made me feel warm inside. Throughout the car ride to the fair we listened to music while Aru screamed the lyrics passionately and I sang 'normally' like a sane person. When we reached the fair, I went to the ticket booth and bought us our tickets, and Aru, for once, allowed me to pay. We walked through the gates of the fair, and into what seemed like a magical wonderland that was freezing, filled with greasy, hot foods, lots of rides to throw up on, many teens here to make out, and innocent families wandering around to be traumatized with.
