Sleepless

If I only had one candle
To lighten my darkest hours
If I only had a cure
To the sleepless
If I only could make my thoughts stop
So that I could be in peace
If I could only fall asleep
So that I can forget
But what if I was meant to be like this?
I figure out history and life through staring at the stars
Through waiting on the sun
Through waiting for the thousands of birds
They are all singing for their life
I find lost pieces and pieces I never thought was lost
Maybe it was meant to be complicated
I'm a thinker and I have the thoughts of a million
For every person sleeping, I'm having their awake thoughts
Anger, despair, sadness, joy and fear.
In a bittersweet mix in my heart
But dear, call the saints
I have one wish more
Can I sleep forever?
