We all have different things we fear, even if they're not fears, they still keep us up at night.
In the bathroom of my mom's apartment, there was a lamp right over the toothpaste-stained sink and above the mirror.
It brought a yellow toned light to the bathroom, being the only light in the room.
Most people have experienced when you're in the middle of something, and suddenly a light bulb goes out, then with that the lamp is out too.
One second it's light, alive and working, the next it's dark, dead and done.
This lamp didn't had light bulbs, but was fluorescent.
But we noticed one morning, the light had started to almost buzz, but was never out enough for it to blink.
As time progressed, the light started flickering.
Slowly, slowly, this light got worse and the flickering only started progressing.
It was becoming near impossible to stand being in that bathroom and close to it.
The darkness started lasting for longer moments.
Then one day, after a period of flickering, the light was out forever.
After a while of going back and forth, the light finally went out.
One of the things I fear, is to go out like that very light.
Slowly, so very slowly get worse, even worse and closer to the end until the day comes.
I hope to go out as a light bulb.
