Chelsea was walking through the school hallways with Bonnie and Caroline. Caroline had already apologised for what she said the previous night and had promised to take the girl out for apology ice cream.

"I'm confused. Are you guys psychic or clairvoyant?" Caroline asked.

"Technically, Grams says that we're witches. Our ancestors were these really cool Salem witch chicks or something. Grams tried to explain it all, but she was looped on the liquor so I kinda tuned out. Crazy family, yes. Witches? I don't think so." Bonnie explains.

"Are you kidding I would love to be a witch like...the scarlet witch from marvel." Chelsea said excitedly.

"Just because you want your powers to match your hair." Bonnie points out.

"Whatever." Chelsea says.

"Yeah, well one of you should feel free to conjure up the name and number of that guy from last night." Caroline tells the twins.

"We didn't see him, you did. Why didn't you just talk to him?" Bonnie asks.

"I don't know. I was drunk." Caroline states chuckling.

"Well, I think it's a good thing you didn't talk with him. Nothing good comes from an older person trying to date a highschooler ever. There is always this weird power dynamic that just makes the whole thing, blugh." Chelsea says shaking her head and body to drive home how much the whole thing weirds her out.

"Didn't you sleep with a 20-year-old?" Bonnie inquires.

"No, I slept with a nineteen year old and that ended up being a one night thing because he got really creepy about the age difference." Chelsea informs.

"What I'm hearing is that I can have a one-night stand with the guy." Caroline says before walking off.

Chelsea turns towards her sister with a look of disbelief across her face.

"They're keeping her overnight to make sure there's no infection, but she should be able to come home tomorrow." Matt tells Elena as they stand in front of the school.

"That's god news." Elena says encouragingly.

"Yeah, it's weird though, the doctors said her injury looked like someone had tried to cauterise the wound. The doc's say that if they hadn't Vicki likely would have bled out." Matt informs.

"That is weird. When Jeremy and I found her, she was still bleeding pretty heavily. Maybe the paramedics did something and just didn't inform the doctors." Elena states, thinking back to the night before. The only one who touched Vicki's bite mark was Chelsea, but that was with her bare hands and then a scarf. There is no way that Chelsea cauterised the wound.

"Maybe." Matt agrees.

"Did you get in touch with your mom?" Elena asks.

"Called and left a message. She's in Virginia Beach with her boyfriend, so...we'll see how long it takes her to come rushing home." Matt explains.

"Vicki's lucky that she's okay." Elena states.

Unbeknownst to the two chatting a short way away Stefan was sitting at a picnic table and listening in to the two as they discuss Matt's sister. Stefan also found it weird that Vicki's bite wound seemed to be cauterised. Damon most certainly wouldn't have done it.

"I know, and now there's some talk of missing campers." Matt replies.

"Did she say what kind of animal it was that attacked her?" Elena inquires.

"She said it was a vampire." Matt says incredulously unaware of the panic that his comment caused in the eavesdropper.

"What?" Elena questions.
