Chapter 6

"And then, I ended up at the remains of the old Fell's church before I woke up back in the woods." Bonnie explains to Elena.

"You were lucky to have your phone on you, otherwise I wouldn't have been there to pick you up and you would have had to walk all the way home." Chelsea points out.

"And you always see your ancestor, Emily?" Elena asks.

"Mm. Do you believe in ghosts?" Bonnie asks both girls.

Chelsea nods her head in an affirmative.

"Two weeks ago, I'd say no, but now..." Elena trails off.

"Because I think I'm being haunted." Bonnie admits.

"I don't get it. Why Emily?" Elena asks confused.

"Grams said she was a powerful witch back in the Civil War days, and that this medallion was hers. A witch's talisman." Bonnie explains.

"And it all started when you got the necklace?" Elena inquires.

"I think she's using it to communicate with me." Bonnie admits.

"Okay, what does Grams say about it?" Elena queries.

"She refuses to speak with her." Chelsea tells Elena.

"Why?" Elena questions.

"I can' call her. She's gonna tell me to embrace it. I don't want to embrace it. I want it to stop." Bonnie states.

"Maybe if you embrace it, it will stop." Chelsea points out but her sister ignores her.

"I'm sorry." Chelsea hears as she is searching through her locker. She brings her head out and turns to look at the remorseful girl next to her.

"And what are you sorry for?" Chelsea asks as she folds her arms in front of her.

"I'm sorry that I turned my anger on to you when really, I was angry at the situation. That was wrong of me and not only did take my anger out on you I did it by throwing something in your face that you entrusted me with. I am truly sorry and wish to make it up to you." Caroline apologises genuinely.

Chelsea takes a couple of seconds to allow the silence to grow between them as she watches Caroline squirm.

"I will forgive you as long as you bring mint chocolate ice cream to the girl's night tonight. And none of that store brand stuff, I want the good stuff." Chelsea states.

"Done." Caroline promises before smiling shyly at Chelsea.

Chelsea and Bonnie are walking to their car in the parking lot when Damon suddenly appears in front of them.

"Okay, it's your last chance." Damon states.

"I'm gonna scream." Bonnie says fear obvious in her voice.

"Oh no, don't do that. Let's stay on point. I want my necklace." Damon says stressing his words.

"You can't have it." Chelsea says.

"I can't take it, but you can give it to me. I'm trying to help you here." Damon tells Bonnie.

"I don't want your help." Bonnie states.

"You do want my help, and you don't even know it. You know why, you little witch? Cause you've stumbled into something you need to stumble out of." Damon says.

"Just leave me alone or I swear..." Damon interrupts Bonnie.

"Don't! No threats. Your sister is aware of how that avenue ends. Look, A, you hurt me last time. B, I wish you no harm. Believe it or not, Bonnie, Chelsea, I wanna protect you. Let me help you get Emily off your back." Damon tells the girls.
