Chelsea is sat in Klaus' car with a drawing pad and pencil in her hands as she waits for tweedle dee and tweedle dumbass to come back from where they are asking 'cough, cough' scaring a couple of women into telling them where a man called...Ryan? Rick? Roy? Whatever, who cares? then they are most likely going to kill the women like they have done to every other person that Klaus as interrogated 'cough, cough' tortured.
Chelsea is fed up. They have been looking for werewolves for the past two months and she is just tired. They haven't found one. During those two months Klaus has been trying to get Chelsea to open up to him, he tries to make her laugh at his jokes (he isn't funny), or he tries to talk with her about her art. He is trying to get her to see that he is her soulmate and that it isn't a trick, or the magic going wrong. And the worst part is, is that it's working.
Klaus is a dork...a dangerous, murderous, egotistical, arrogant dork. And he can be sweet, like when he buys her art supplies. Or caring, like when he cooks for her because she is human and needs a balanced diet. Or flirtatious, like when he finds the time between hunting and killing to take her on dates.
He is managing to make her open her heart up to him every time they are alone together, but the moment she sees Stefan she is reminded of the fact that the only reason she is here in the first place is because he tried to kill her sister, did kill Jena, thinks he killed Elena and then had her kidnapped. It's frustrating feeling her emotions constantly swinging back and forth. It makes her murderous which Klaus also seems to like about her.
He likes their...squabbles as he would say. He enjoys watching her eyes turn red when he really riles her up. He enjoys seeing how close he can get to her or how often he can touch her without her hitting him. He's made a game out of it, and he always manages to bait her into conversations with him, that always start furious and somehow end up sweet.
She is losing her mind; she thinks as she draws the house, that she can see in the distance. The proportions are wrong, and she doesn't have a sharpener, so the lines are coming out wrong and the only reason she's even trying to draw the freaking house is because she's trying to stop herself from drawing Klaus or Elijah's face...again.
Klaus couldn't wipe the smile off his face when he saw the drawing of him that she had done. Or at least he couldn't until she had turned the page to show off Elijah's face on the previous page. That made his face turn from smug and amused too jealous and annoyed. It made her day. Until she saw the look on Stefan's face.
Stefan has been...he has been...what's the word? Suspicious, easily angered, on edge, constantly giving Chelsea the side eye as if he expects her to turn around and tell Klaus that Elena is alive. Stefan doesn't trust her; he's made that violently clear with how he acts towards her. The constant glare whenever he sees her standing to close to Klaus for his liking, the...well that hasn't really been much else because Klaus never leaves them alone together.
She's unsure if that's because he doesn't trust Stefan's blood lust, or if he's afraid that they will plot something behind his back together. Either way, Chelsea has not been given the chance to yell at Stefan for viewing her as a traitor.
A sudden knocking brings Chelsea out of her thoughts and also causes her to draw a long line through the middle of the house. She takes in a deep calming breath before turning to look at the person who knocked on the window of the car.
"What?" Chelsea asks, annoyed.
"I thought that considering that you have been in the car for so long you would like to get out of it and stretch your legs." Klaus suggests.
Chelsea thinks about that for a second. She does want to get out of the car. She has been in it for hours and her legs feel cramped and her back hurts, as does her neck from the angle at which she was looking down to draw. Chelsea opens the car door, almost hitting Klaus with it, much to her amusement and gets out.
