When Chelsea wakes up, she has no idea where she is. Looking around, she can't see anything but darkness. She brings her hand up to touch her neck as the memory of Klaus stabbing her in the neck with a needle comes back to her.
Sitting up makes her feel lightheaded but she does so anyway. Not being able to see anything, she tries to use her other senses. She can hear what sounds like muffled voices talking with one another.
"Klaus!" Chelsea calls out.
The voices stop, making her heart speed up. The next thing she hears is footsteps, as they move from her right to in front of her. A loud screeching noise rings through her ears as her eyes are suddenly hit with lights, causing her to turn her head and bring her arm up to protect her eyes.
"You're awake and just in time too." Klaus' chipper voice says, and something about his tone makes Chelsea shiver.
Once her eyes have become accustomed to the light, she brings her arm down and turns her head back. She can now see that she is in the back of a van. Coffins line the walls around her, and Klaus is standing at the entrance at the back of the van.
"What's going on?" Chelsea asks in a quiet voice. "Where are we?"
"You and Stefan have been very naughty love. Keeping things from me all summer. So, I decided to find out what it is exactly you both are keeping from me. And let me tell you sweetheart it was quite the little surprise. And where we are...don't tell me you don't recognise your own high school? You haven't been gone that long." Klaus informs, as he jumps into the truck and walks towards Chelsea.
He crouches down in front of her.
"Were in Mystic Falls?" Chelsea inquires, eyes going wide, breath catching in her throat.
"You seem scared. Good, you should be after keeping such an important detail as the doppelganger being alive from me. How am I going to punish you? I can't go my normal route of course, you wouldn't survive, and I don't want to hurt you...but I do have to, punish you that is." Klaus explains as he brushes a lock of hair away from her face.
"Klaus please, she's my friend. I couldn't tell you she was alive; I would have been signing her death sentence." Chelsea tries to explain.
"Of course, you would have. She is supposed to be dead!" Klaus yells causing Chelsea to flinch back.
Seeing her flinch Klaus takes a deep resigned breath and smiles at her.
"I'm going to forgive you for your little indiscretion, love. You were put in a tough spot. Choose me or choose a friend. But let me tell you right now. If you ever choose anybody but your matched again, we are going to have a problem." Klaus warns.
Chelsea nods her head in agreement as it seems that Klaus is waiting for her to respond, and she doesn't think she could get out any words right now.
"Good girl, now let's go and see the doppelganger, shall we?" Klaus asks as he offers his hand.
Chelsea hesitantly takes his hand and Klaus pull her up and walks her over to the back of the van. Klaus hops out easily before turning, bringing his arms around her waist and carrying her down and out.
The two, start walking towards the main entrance of the school, Klaus holding onto Chelsea's hand. She still feels shaky from whatever drug Klaus dosed her with.
"What are you going to do when you find her?" Chelsea manages to speak up and ask.
"I haven't decided yet. Need to be sure that killing her will actually get me my hybrids first." Klaus informs, making Chelsea slightly untense.
