Forbidden Love

Chapter 45

Half an hour later we got to the place. Andrès got out and ran over to my side to open the door for me before taking my hand and helping me out the car shutting the door behind me.

"Where are we?" I asked but he simply took out a blindfold from his pocket, "it's still a surprise, one I'm sure your going to love" he said before helping me put on the blindfold making sure it wasn't too tight.

He stood behind me holding my arms gently leading me through wherever we were before sitting me down, "wait till I say then take off the blindfold" he said. I heard him leave but then come back after a few minutes, "ok open" he said.

I slowly took off the blindfold and stared in pure awe at the sight infront of me. It was the lantern festival where thousands of lanterns were lit and released into the night sky just like the lantern scene in Tangled, also known as my favourite part in the entire movie.

I looked over at Andrès in complete disbelief but he simply held two lit lanterns. I stood up and made my way over to him and stared as the golden glow from the lanterns shone amongst his gorgeous face.

"This is the best thing ever" I spoke breaking the silence, he smiled and handed me a lantern and after a few seconds they were all released into the sky. I stared into the night sky and thousands of lanterns flew, it felt like I was in Tangled and it was magical.

I saw mine and Andrès's and they spun around revealing the words 'Will you be my girlfriend' across them. I looked over at Andrès who was already staring at me with the same light in his eye.

"Quinn" he said before taking my hands in his "I have loved you ever since I met you, I want you to be mine and I wanna be yours, I couldnt think of the right way to ask you out so I thought this would be perfect, you are a light that was brought into my dull life and I want to be with you for the rest of my life because, god I love you so much" He said instantly smashing his lips against mine.

Once he released me he spoke before I could "so what do you say? Will you be my girlfriend" he asked, I nodded my head and wrapped my arms around his neck. It was like a dream, I was living my Rapunzel dream with a real life Flynn Ryder. Once we let go he pressed a light kiss to my forehead "I love you" I whispered.

Instead of replying he picked me up and spun me around in his arms "I love you more my beautiful" he said holding me up before kissing me once again with the lanterns surrounding us in every direction.

We sat and stared at every lantern in the sky and all I could do was watch them float around, I still couldn't believe this was happening to me right now, I have a boyfriend? I have a boyfriend! My brothers are going to die. BUT I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!

I could feel Andrès' eyes on me and when I turned he keeps his eyes on me "what is it?" I asked, he placed his hand on mine and smiled "your just so beautiful" he whispered which sent butterflies in my stomach.

I layed my head on his shoulder and just closed my eyes feeling safe with him besides me. I let out a sigh and felt the warmth of a jacket being put over my arms before a kiss was placed at the top of my head.

A while passed and Andrès shook me slightly "what do you say we head back now hm?" He whispered. I sat up and handed him his jacket before he took my hand in his leading us back to his car. Before I could, he opened the door for me and shut it once I was sat down.

Who would've thought Andrès out of everyone but be such a gentleman. Once he got in and started the car he connected his phone to the car's Bluetooth and I was shocked to say the least when the soundtrack of the song started playing.

HE PUT ON 'At last I see the light' from Tangled! I stared at him before singing along as he just chuckled. I managed to make him sing a few words which was more than I thought he'd sing and before I knew it he pulled up to the driveway for McDonalds.

"A Smarties McFlurry and large fries right?" He grinned before turning to the speaker thingy. He knows my order? How? I'm not even that surprised at this point. Just as he drove to the next window my phone rang 'Jason' oh god what now.

"Hello?" I asked "Where are you? What are you doing? Its nearly 10!" He bombarded, I simply rolled my eyes and Andrès looked over at me with concern but I just put my phone on speaker "we're at McDonalds, we are walking the clouds, and it's not even half 9 so chill out" I replied. Andrès realised and just rolled his eyes playfully.

"Fine, but I'll be waiting at the door at 10 and tell Andrès if he bring you home any later even a minute later he'll have me and the others to answer to" he said before hanging up. "I'm sorry, they are always that protective" I said apologetically as Andrès handed me the food.

"I'm glad they are, and why wouldn't they be? Such beauty must remain protected at all times" he winked which caused my face to turn bright red, "red looks good on you love" He said before pulling into the car park.

"Stop it" I said hiding my face in my hands, he gently moved my hands from my face and put a single strand of hair behind my ear "never hide from me my love" he said before kissing my knuckles.

I handed him his food and we sat there eating whilst telling each other anything and everything, and by that I mean me waffling to Andrès about whatever came to mind while he sat there and just looked at me with pure adoration.

Soon it was 9:45 and we weren't that far from home so I'd make it back for my curfew. Once we got to my house Andrès once again opened the car door for me before walking me to the door.

"Thank you for tonight" I said "you deserve anything and everything gorgeous" he said before kissing me on the cheek. He walked back to his car and waited for me to go inside.

My head was still trying to comprehend the night I just had but then my brothers bonbarded me with a million questions which I expected. "Your home 5 minutes early" "What did he do?" "Does he need a beating because we can give him one?" "Why are you smiling?" "What did he plan?" They said all at once.

I rolled my eyes and hung my jacket on the coat hooks before going upstairs ignoring them all, I couldn't be bothered answering all their questions.

I walked into my bathroom and took off all my makeup before doing my skincare. I made my way to my closet and changed into some pyjamas before throwing my clothes into the laundry basket.

Just then my phone rang 'Andrès'. I smiled and answered the FaceTime and was met with his gorgeous face "hello girlfriend" he spoke which made me laugh "hi boyfriend" I replied. We spoke for about an hour then he asked "have you told your brothers about us?" Which made me realise that I had to tell them.

"Um, well I don't know how to tell them" I replied, "how about tomorrow at dinner, I can come over for support" he said with a smile "that will be great, thank you" I said letting out a sigh of relief "anything for my girl, now go to sleep you need rest" he said which made my heart flutter at his words.

"Ok but you too" I said placing my phone on charge against my lamp "stay on call so I can be there in case you can't sleep or you wake up" he said setting his phone up. I got up and turned the light off put kept my lamp on.

"Goodnight beautiful" he said turning his light off "goodnight Andrès" I said before getting comfy and soon after we both fell asleep.
