Kings Landing 130 AC
The night came and went too soon, but I can't pull myself out of sleep. My vision is all black and then a scene comes to light. its grandsire's chambers, its dark and eerie but I can make out a figure standing over him. Alicent, sobbing and holding his hands, he's muttering something.
"Don't you remember? Aegon..." he stammered out. "Our son?" Alicent was confused. "His dream. The song of Ice and Fi.. It's true. what he saw in the North. The prince that was promised." he made no sense to Alicent, but I understood.
My mother told me of Aegon's dream when I was six. It was Aegon the Conquer not Aegon the drunk. "Price Aegon?" Alicent questioned again. "To unite the realm.. against the cold... and the dark. It is you. you are the one. You must do this. You must." He doesn't know he is talking to Alicent, he thinks he's talking to my mother. The one that is supposed to bring peace to the realm.
"I know what I must do my king." No she doesn't. She thinks installing Aegon to the throne is what Viserys wants. I hear her start sobbing and know that the king has passed. The image slowly fades away and I come back to the world. My dream scares me, it's going to start wars if this happens.
The door busts open and Meagor runs in, "get up. GET UP!" He shouts. I shoot up and he runs over to my chest that hasn't been unpacked yet, shoving a robe into my chest and rushing me out.
"What I'm the gods is happening?!" I'm being rushed downstairs with no explanation.
"The king is dead. The rest of the family left lastnight and now we have to leave."
I froze. Stopping in my tracks and shuddering. I knew my dream was real but I didn't know I was dreaming in the moment of it happening. Meagor didn't take my sudden stop nicely. He dropped my chest not caring for the dresses inside and picked me up. As he rushed down the remaining stairs I start crying, I break down in his arms.
I have to shove my face into his chest to quiet myself knowing if we get caught it's over. We get to the dragonpit and I jump out of his arms into the warmth of my dragons. I make my way to starflames saddle and tie myself in quickly. Cannibal takes off before me and lets out a massive roar signifying our conjoined pain and anger.
As we're over the sea I feel so much anger, it suppresses my sadness and grief. All I see is red and I know that this is only the beginning of the fury in my heart and soul. We're flying so fast that my hair is straight behind me tangling in the wind. I don't care though, the only thing I care about is getting home to my mother and figuring out what to do.
We land on Dragonstone and quickly dismount of dragons. Meagor rushed to me. "They don't know."
"What?"
"They don't know about Viserys." Meagor looks at me with a sad expression. I'm going to have to tell everyone the news. "I can tell them if you need me to."
"No. It's best that I do, it'd be unfair to make you do it."we start to walk into the castle when daemon walks out.
"I saw you approaching. What's the status of kings landing?" He looked to Meagor instead of me, probably thinking he knows more.
"The king is dead and they plan to install Aegon as king." They both look at me. Daemon because he didn't know any of it, and Meagor because he didn't tell me about Aegon. He didn't even know himself.
"Wait- Aegon's to be king?" Meagor turned completely towards me.
"Yes. I saw it in a dream. Alicent was talking to the king and he was talking about the song of ice and fire but he thought he was talking to Rheanyra. He said Aegons dream and Alicent thought of her Aegon." It all stumbled out and I didn't even think they'd understand but they did.
"That conniving little bitch." Daemon mumbled.
"What do I tell mother?" I need some sort of guidance on how to tell her.
"I'll do it, you shouldn't have to especially now that Aegon's usurping the throne."
We all walk into the castle, I find Sandra and we get to my room where I tell her everything. She was in the middle of brushing my hair when I told her of Aegon and she yanked my hair out of shock. I didn't go down for dinner, mostly because no one came to get me and I knew we wouldn't be dining together. Instead I went straight to sleep, today has been full of emotions that have drained me empty.
Okay so.. not my best work but I wasn't sure if I wanted Syra to stay in kings landing or be taken back to Dragonstone so this was very last minute. Also I don't know if I want to keep Aemond and Syra betrothed. Honestly at this piont I have a different love interest in mind. But let me know your thoughts, I'd be more than happy to have some insight lol. Anyways hope you enjoyed the chapter
