"What if makapagtapos nga tayo, pero hindi naman tayo masaya sa trabaho natin because it's not our dream job?" Pearly asked out of the blue. Based on her tone, I assume that she's still undecided about her college course.

But balik sa topic, I can't imagine myself being unhappy because I am not working with passion.

But what if. What if everything won't turn out as planned?

"I believe that things happen for a reason," komento ni Allysa. We're inside the library, anyway. "Alam niyo 'yon, if we're not happy doing something, it will then guide us to what is really meant for us, to what is good for our hearts."

"So that we can avoid things and save our future."

"Then, mawawala ang thrill niyan," Allysa laughed. "We can't enjoy the present if we are too bothered of our future. Imagine, if makita nating naghihirap tayo in the future, edi mawawalan tayo ng gana na i-enjoy ang present moments."

Until a student meter away from me gave me a hand signal na tila pinapalapit ako sa kaniya. I excused to my friends and went to the junior highschool student.

"Yes?" nang makalapit ako.

She giggled and pointed out the entrance door, only to see Cal.

"A typical suit for a responsible student?" His signature smirk appeared.

I rolled my eyes. "That's good, though. Now, anong pakay?"

Judging by what he's wearing, he really looks like a responsible student. Lalo pa't naka complete uniform na siya at naka black shoes. My stomach grumbled for no reason.

I would just like to invite you mamayang gabi. Sa bahay, Caliver is eager to see you."

I swallowed hard. "Or you're just using Caliver? Baka hindi niya talaga ako hinahanap."

"Why would I use him? Of course not, I am saying the truth. He has missed you."

Sa kanilang bahay . . . How about his mother? Father? Uncle? Or si Amethyst?! What if Caliver asked a favor to Cal to invite Amethyst too?

"What is my Chelsy thinking of?" He tilted his head to the other side. Now he does look genuine. "You should ask me questions."

"How about your parents? Edi . . . Makikilala nila ako?"

"They already knew you."

"What?!" Napalunok na naman ako. "Bilang nililigawan mo?"

He grinned. "Yes, ma'am."
