Bianca, Elizabeth and Katherine had spent the rest of their day just enjoying themselves and they didn't spare Kathrine of the teasing as Caspian had made it tradition to keep texting her. On a normal day she wouldn't have minded rather she enjoys his texts. Not like she'll ever admit that, but she just couldn't read his texts without turning red — the man speaks his mind without care — and Elizabeth and Bianca who had noticed this at first, expressed their surprise but subsequently made it a duty to tease her red.

Katherine was surprised that a woman like Elizabeth would be so carefree. Bianca seemed used to it but Katherine was surprised how jovial the woman could get. It was like they were gal pals.

Now they had just had dinner at a luxurious hotel which of course belonged to the Montgomerys. Elizabeth suddenly halted in her steps and squinted her eyes as she looked across the huge lobby. A smile graced her lips as she waved over at her second son. Fredward.

"Freddy!" She called with a big smile on her face which alerted not only her son but the two young ladies that stood beside her.

Fredward turned around at the familiar voice and a smile immediately reached his face as his mom waved at him. She wasn't all the way across the lobby or he trusted she wouldn't have called him, but a little closer to him enough to call his name without seeming like a nuisance.

He walked towards them – wait... –them? His smile disappeared from his face as she looked at the familiar face of his sister-in-law who was standing next to his little cousin who was waving at him cheerfully.

Fredward could not help but consider if he should keep walking. She was also smiling at him. Those eyes, so familiar. Fredward took now, slow steps towards his mother, placing a dry smile on his lips.

"What are you doing here mom?"

"Oh nothing, just having dinner with my girls." She shrugged dismissively. "You haven't been home in a while. Your father and I miss you."

"I'm sorry mum. I've just been really busy."

"It's fine. I understand that all my kids have their own lives." Although Elizabeth said it with a smile, they could not miss the sad undertone in her voice.

"I'll visit regularly mum. I promise." He said with a smile which brought a smile to Elizabeth's lips in return.

"I'm going to hold you to it." She said.

"I'll love to be visited too." Bianca said drawing attention to herself.

"Of course you would." Fredward rolled his eyes at his cousin's childish antiques. She had always been like this.

"Hi fredward." Katherine greeted even though she knew Fredward didn't like her at all.

The sweet familiar voice that had once calmed his raging and dying soul floated to his ears.

Her.

His saviour. She had once helped him understand that he had a second chance and could start over. Of course she couldn't remember him. Why would she? Fredward almost let out a scoff. She was his brother's.

He gave her a quick small smile and a nod showing that he acknowledged her. Katherine knew he didn't like her but she has never been one to force people to love her or shower her affection.

"We'll be going now. I fear if your brother does not see his wife, he'll  blow up her phone up with texts." Elizabeth said, teasing her which just made her face redden further.

As they bid their goodbyes and went out of the luxurious hotel, Fredward could only watch her back as she walked away from him... Again.
