KATHERINE'S POV."Are you mad about yesterday?" I couldn't help but ask.
Caspian didn't say anything about Alan but he usually doesn't talk much so it was really hard to navigate but t I just wanted to make sure we were cool
I wanted us to be cool.He turned his head to look at me." I'm not."
I nodded my head as relief washed over me.
"Do you still have feelings for him?"
"What?" My eyes widened. "No of course not."
A look flashed in his room eyes and it looked like his eyes lightened several shades but I didn't know what it was.
"I don't have feelings for Alan. Not for a long time." I assured him.
"You are a good person Katherine. I don't like that." He came closer to me and pulled me into his arms and i relaxed into him. I couldn't help the smile that came to my face.
I don't know why what he said pleased me. Was I weird?
"You don't want me to be a good person?" I asked amused.
"Not when you are too nice to others."
"I'm not too nice Caspian."
"He cheated on you with your own sister and you still comforted him and forgave him." He said like it was obvious enough explanation.
"He needed a friend."
"I don't want you to be friends." His voice was cold and hard and I felt him stiffen a little.
I pulled back from him gently and looked at him. His usually hard face had a frown on it and I couldn't help the small laugh that escaped my lips.
"I didn't throw him off his balcony yesterday because of you but that doesn't mean I wouldn't do it of he comes closer to you."
My eyes widen and his words. One things I've learnt about Caspian, he doesn't say empty words. He is used to his power and the authority his words carry they every of his words are significant and are easily manifested.
"Are you-umm...are you jealous of Alan?" I knew it was far fetched but he was acting like it.
"Why would I be jealous when you are already mine." He pulled me back into him, his lips hovering over mine.
"I don't need to compete with some incompetent fool, you are already my wife." And his lips came down on mine hard like he wanted his point to sink in and it did.
"And you are my husband." I said against his lips.
"I know, I'm quite a catch."
"And a narcissist."
"I know." Then his mouth closed on mine again.
I wasn't complaining. I love my narcissistic husband.
Shit!

THIRD PERSON POV.
Verona sashayed her way across the huge lobby. She could see some staring at her, others took a glance and went back their own business, others just simply ignored her like she was nothing but air.
Anger surged in her. Verona remembered when she walked this lobby years back. The halt and silence that would descend across the huge lobby, No one dared stay in her path, the respect, the fear but now... Now she was old news.
Some in the lobby wondered what she was doing here so they looked at her. Others couldn't care so they ignored her. She wasn't their boss. She wasn't a Montgomery. She was just a woman who had the taste of power and wanted more when she couldn't have it.
