FIFTY THREE : POWDERED DOUGHNUT.

THIRD PERSON'S POV .

Being pregnant to Katherine was a big blessings. Although she hadn't planned for it, but it had happened and she couldn't be more grateful. Even if she still had morning sickness once or twice occasionally and her back hurts and she couldn't stand for long and not suffer from swollen feet, Katherine savoured all the experiences except....

Craig had advised that Katherine cut back on her sugar.

"I bake. It's literally my job how do you expect me to stay away!" Was the first thing Katherine shouted when Craig informed her about her new life.

Katherine loved sweets. That had what developed her interest in backing. Whenever her grandmother backed for her, the taste, the aroma... everything. Katherine had had an hell of a time when her shop started receiving way too many vegan orders and on the insistence of Carolina, she had substituted most of the ingredients in her grandmother's recipes and worked months and years just to find a fitting substitute, and even then, the taste wasn't the same.

Caspian being the same overprotective man had banned any form of sweet. All the food in the house and even ingredients were void of sweet and no drop of sugar could be found anywhere around the house and it was even worse as she was on her maternity leave and Carolina and Caspian has forbidden her from working.

Katherine had tried to get help from the workers in the house but they were all too scared for their lives.

"I'm never ever getting pregnant." That was what Carolina had said on the other end of the line as she popped the last bite of strawberry covered cupcake into her mouth. "I can't help you Kat, Doctor's orders."

Katherine couldn't help but wonder why whenever Carolina and Caspian agreed on something, it was to her own torture.

Caspian had allowed Katherine a few bites but not enough not satisfy her cravings. So she came up with a better solution. The only person that could actually help her and go against his own brother for his sheer amusement. Miles Montgomery.

"Thanks Miles. You have no idea how much this means to me." Katherine said as she took a huge bite of the chocolate covered doughnut.

"Don't mention it. You are pregnant. You should get to eat whatever the hell you want." Miles said with a wave of his hand and focused his attention back on the TV screen.

"Do myou wammt one?" Katherine asked with her mouth full.

"It's fine. It's all yours." Katherine believed in the phrase 'love in sharing' but she couldn't help but feel relieved that she gets to eat them all on her own. She licked the chocolate off her thumb as she chewed down on the last morsel of the chocolate covered doughnut.

Unlike the other Montgomery siblings Miles was closer to Katherine. He and Katherine got along well and they were very like-minded... sometimes. And he wasn't also hanging out with her because of he discovered that she was the key to successfully pressing his brother's button...It is.

"This is annoying." Miles grumbled at the scene playing out in the Tv. "She doesn't really expect him to reveal his secret identity to every chick he comes across, does she?" Miles huffed in annoyance.

Katherine couldn't help but smile that crossed her lips at Miles' reaction. Katherine couldn't help but see the similarities between Caspian and Miles. Out of the whole sibling, he is the one who takes after Caspian the most, in one ways or another. They were both assertive and intelligent men except that Miles was charming and Katherine saw the funny irony as he was the only one in the family who thought it fun to mess with his brother and push his buttons and according to him

"Be there for more histories his brother would make."

"You should try to see things from her perspective too." Katherine admonish and turned her attention fully to the plot of the animation. Like her Miles was completely comfortable with watching animation and Netflix series with. Caspian on the other hand was too logical and found the potholes in the plot but he watched it till the end with her nonetheless.
