THIRD PERSON'S POV.
Tension hung heavy in the air and the weighty silence only continue to grow louder. Caspian's fingers silently tapped against the sofa arm where his hand rested. His face was calm or rather empty. No one in the room could read his face and it was only one person who was trying his best to.
Vincenzo settled into the silence. His face was as calm as Caspian's but his mind made a million calculations.
The energy and aura of the two men was overwhelming. Fredward should be used to it now but he wasn't. He looked up from the black marbled floor to his brother's face again. Anxiety slowly began to replace the anger in his chest. Fredward like everyone else knew that Caspian's silence was an indication of a storm.
It has been this way since they were kids. His brother has never not been calm. He looked at situations without letting his emotions cloud him.Disappointment settled in his chest. Fredward has always been jealous of his brother's strength. He envied it. And he hated his own lack of it. Fredward thought he had grown stronger over the years. Picking up the pieces broken in his former life and starting again. But here he was again because of a stupid and emotional decision and back to being at his brother's mercy again.
Yuvraj entered the room. His glasses standing at the bridge of his nose and his phone in his hands.
"Jasper Pollock said he'll contact you once he gets it done." Yuvraj informed.
"Good." Caspian answered. Before he looked at Vincenzo and they both seemed like they were passing ba secret message across.
"Find Sebastian." Caspian ordered his eyes not leaving Vincenzo's .
"Right away." And with that Yuvraj went back out of the room with his mission in mind and with every intention of carrying it out.
"You won't do something to him once you find him. Would you?" Fredward felt like an idiot for asking that kind of question. The man sitting opposite his brother was an evidence of how truly dangerous his brother was but Fredward doubted that his brother involved himself in those type of mess. His brother and Vincenzo just have a particularly strong bond.
But Sebastian was their cousin and a Montgomery. What would Caspian do to him once he's found. The man have used up his chance when Caspian spared him after he slept with his ex-wife.
"I should. Do you have any idea the person he got you involved with?"
Fredward shoulder sagged. He only had a faint idea of the person he spent the past few months with. It was a moment of absolute weakness. Not a moment. Moments. He had let Sebastian take advantage of his anger and his vulnerability and pushed him to dine with wolves. But the Truth was that Fredward had an idea of what he was getting into but at that moment he didn't care. He wanted to rid himself of the inferiority and weakness he was feeling and he had sought for it in the worse place imaginable.
"I do."
"No!" Caspian's voice thundered in the room and Fredward could not help but visibly shake in his seat. He looked at his brother with anger in his eyes. "You don't have any idea. Because if you had." He clenched and unclenched his fist. "If you had, you won't have gotten a feet close to them."
"I'm sorry."
"I don't care about that Damon." Fredward knew Caspian was very mad when he used his middle name.
"I wasn't thinking." Fredward said in an attempt to slightly exonerate himself but it wasn't working.
"You are right brother. You weren't thinking. You got involved with the Salvatores. You can never comprehend what that means."
