Giselle went to work not knowing what was going to happen to her. She didn't know that Gilbert had talked to Mason. She didn't know that Mason was being forced to break up with her. She didn't know that Gilbert was being so selfish and protective. She didn't know that she was going to feel like her world was falling apart.

"Finally Friday, Giselle, the weekend is only hours away." Burns commented, and Giselle nodded.

"You have no idea how happy I am to know just how close I am to the weekend. I need to catch up on some serious sleep." Giselle replied, causing the man to chuckle.

"Arnie keeping you awake?" The man asked, making the young girl shrug.

"Not purposely, but he can be loud when he doesn't want to go to sleep. It can be a bit frustrating at times, especially when I'm exhausted." She answered, and the man nodded.

"Grab yourself a bottle of melatonin. It's all natural, and it'll help you sleep." The man said, pointing to the box Giselle would be stocking onto a shelf later on.

Giselle grabbed herself a bottle of melatonin and stuck it in her purse, before she decided to go ahead and stock the shelves. The drugstore seemed to be less busy than normal, but sometimes it was just like that. Giselle was honestly thankful for moments like that, because she could get other work done, or she could just rest without having to worry about other people bothering her.

A few hours later, it was time for her lunchbreak. She grabbed her purse, since it held her money, and she walked out of the drugstore. She wasn't surprised to see Mason, but she was surprised to see the emotionless look on his face.

"Hey, Mase, what's up?" She asked, as she approached him.

"We've gotta break up." He said, but as soon as he said it, his emotionless facade melted.

"What?" She murmured, her question barely audible.

"I don't want to upset your brother anymore than I all ready have. He's angry at me, and he told me this is in your best interest, so Giselle, you and I have to break up." He stated, making tears come to her eyes.

"Are you not going to fight this?" She asked, her bottom lip trembling.

"I did," He answered, tears swelling in his eyes,"You have no idea how hard I tried to get him to change his mind. He wouldn't change his mind no matter what I told him. I told him I love you, I told him that I couldn't see my life without you, and that you were my everything, but he didn't listen," He said,"I-I'm so sorry, Giselle." He whimpered, a tear tried to escape, but he looked up at the sky for a moment to force the tears to stay put and not fall.

"Please, just let me--let me try to talk to him, fight him on this." She pleaded, making the man sigh.

"You have no idea how much I want that, but I'm not worth you fighting with your brother. One day you'll find a guy that your brother likes, and you'll find the happiness you deserve." Mason said, before he turned away and climbed into his car.

The moment he drove off, Giselle fell to the ground, buried her face in her knees, and cried. She was crying so hard, her body shook with the force. She couldn't believe Gilbert had did this to her. He hurt her more than any of her other siblings ever did. He hurt her more than any of the people in town had, or well, most everybody. Getting her foot broken by a boy on a bike when she was ten was kind of bad, but it didn't seem to even hurt as bad as her heart did at that moment.

Giselle decided to skip lunch, so she walked back into the drugstore and found Burns. Burns was doing an inventory on the medications in the back. When he heard her walk in, he looked up and almost gasped when he seen her. Her cheeks were sploched with red patches and tears stained them as well. Her eyes were puffy and red from crying, and her nose was a rosy hue.

"What happened, Giselle?" Burns asked, his voice fully of concern.

"Gilbert made Mason break up with me." Giselle replied, and Burns's stomach dropped.

"Oh, Giselle," He murmured,"You should go home and take the rest of the day off. You can start your weekend early. You've already stocked the shelves, so there's no reason to worry about me." Burns suggested, and Giselle nodded.

"Thank you, Mr. Burns." Giselle answered, as he gave her a sympathetic smile.

Giselle drove home as soon as she left, not even looking towards Lamson's Grocery store. She knew if she seen Gilbert, she would freak out on him and she didn't want to cause a scene. As soon as she arrived home and went inside, Momma and Amy looked at her confused. Their faces quickly changed to concern when they seen her tears.

"What's wrong, Giselle?" Momma asked, causing more tears to fall from the girl's eyes.

"Gilbert forced Mason to break up with me." Giselle replied, making Momma and Amy gasp.

"Oh, my baby." Momma cooed, as she held her arms open for her daughter.

Giselle practically ran over to Momma and buried herself in the woman's side; tears wetting the woman's shirt.

"It hurts so bad, Momma," Giselle cried,"I really love him." She added, as Momma ran her fingers soothingly through the girl's hair.

"I know, baby," Momma murmured,"But don't worry, Momma will make this all better. You just rest." She said, soothing her daughter slowly.

Giselle was a crying mess, and Momma wasn't happy at all. Gilbert was going to get an ear full from her and Amy. What he did to Giselle was not fair, it was borderline cruel, and they were not having it. He was not getting away with his actions...
