There was exactly a week until Arnie's birthday. Giselle and the others were scrambling to get things finished. Momma claimed she was going to stay inside for the party, which didn't sit well with Giselle. She expected the woman to at least make an appearance at the party for her son, but Momma really wasn't wanting to.

While Giselle was at work, Mason had rushed into the building. He had told her that Arnie had again climbed the water tower in town, but this time it didn't end as planned. Normally, Gilbert or Giselle would get Arnie to come down, and they'd promise it would never happen again. This time though, the cops weren't having it.

Arnie was put into the back of the squad car, and he was brought to the jail. The moment Giselle found out, she was absolutely furious. She told her boss she had to take the rest of the day off, before she left the drugstore and went straight to the police station.

"Where's Arnie?" She snapped, causing a cop to look up at her.

"Ma'am, you have to be a guardian, and to get him out, there's paperwork that needs to be filled out." The cop told her, making her narrow her eyes.

"You have detained my brother, and you are seriously pissing off a pregnant woman. If Momma has to come up here, you guys are really gonna hate it." She warned, but they didn't listen.

Instead, they made her and Mason wait until a guardian came up there for Arnie. They were both seriously surprised when they seen Momma walking into the police station. Giselle smirked to herself, knowing they were fixing to hear everything Momma said to the cops that took Arnie.

About thirty minutes later, Arnie came out with Momma and the others. Giselle turned back and glared at the cops that had sassed her, before she followed after her family with Mason. Giselle could feel the looks from the locals, and she became angry when people starting snapping pictures or laughing with their friends. She'd gladly admit that she had flipped a few people off as she walked by them, causing gasps to be heard.

When they all arrived at the Grape home, Giselle watched how upset Momma was. She could tell that the trip into town really hurt her, but it made Giselle upset more when she seen how Ellen looked as though she wanted to cry. She had been embarrassed, but not only by Momma, but also for Momma.

"Ellen, can you come outside with me?" Giselle asked, causing the young girl to nod quietly.

Giselle lead Ellen out to her car, and had the girl sit inside with her. She wanted to be able to talk to her one on one without anyone eavesdropping or putting their two cents in when it wasn't needed.

"I'm sorry that you were embarrassed today," She sighed,"I tried to get Arnie out myself. They wouldn't let me. If they did, I would've called and let Momma know. I know what happened is messed up, especially the way the town was treating her, but you need to push in the back of your mind, at least for now. You have every right to cry or get angry, but do it where Momma and Arnie can't see you. It'll hurt them too, and you don't want to do that." Giselle stated, and Ellen nodded.

Ellen leaned over and laid her head on Giselle's shoulder. The girls didn't see eye to eye very often, but there were small moments like this that did happen. Though Giselle and Ellen didn't always get along, Giselle would protect her little sister from any and all things in the world that she could. Ellen didn't deserve all the crap the world gave her, only some of it, and Giselle tried to shield her from as much as she could.

After their talk, and their moment of simply sitting in silence, the girls went inside for dinner. Things weren't looking too great coming up on Arnie's birthday, but they had to hope for the best. The boy needed a good birthday, and his family was going to give it to him.

"I'll be making the cake the night before." Amy told Giselle, and the younger sister nodded.

"Do you want some help, or do you want me to just go pick up the party decorations?" Giselle asked, causing her older sister to smile.

"I'd love your help, but I know you have a lot to do. Get what you can done, then if you feel like it, you can help me." Amy replied, making her younger sister smile as well.

Getting everything ready for the birthday party was a hassle, especially the closer it got to the day of the party. Giselle hoped like hell that nothing bad would happen. She hoped that nobody would hurt Arnie's feelings on his birthday, and that nothing went wrong with the decorations or food. Things going wrong last minute were some of the worst problems anyone could have.

"C'mon," Mason murmured,"Let's get to bed. You're almost dead on your feet, G." He said, and she simply nodded.

Walking up and down the steps with a big belly wasn't easy. Soon, she wouldn't be able to go up and down the steps on her own. She really hoped that day was farther away then she thought it was going to be. She hated the idea of someone having to help her get up and down the stairs.

Giselle couldn't wait for her baby to be born. She couldn't wait to hold her and love her. The baby would be so small, but she'd be so perfect. She'd be the perfect mix of Giselle and Mason. Giselle already loved her little girl so much, and the little girl hadn't even been born yet. She just knew that her heart would be full the moment she held the baby in her arms...
