The same day Mason had snapped on her family, was the same day that Giselle was going to find out the gender of the baby. When she found out that Arnie was going to be with them, she could keep the smile off of her face. She was happier than she had been in weeks, and Mason was glad to finally see a bright smile on her face.

Giselle had gotten off of work early, since the doctor's appointment for the baby's gender was at two in the afternoon. Arnie was excited to find out the baby's gender, since he wasn't the one having to see a doctor. Arnie wasn't a big fan of doctors, especially when they wanted to run tests on him. The boy hated needles, and he'd sometimes try to run when a doctor came in the room with a shot or anything that even looked like one.

Anyhow, about thirty minutes after they checked into the office, Giselle was called into the back. Mason and Arnie followed closely behind her. The doctor checked her vitals like normal, and asked her the same questions. How are you feeling? Have you been craving anymore weird foods? Has your morning sickness decreased? Do you feel sore in any area? Has your feet started swelling yet?

Sometimes Giselle's answers were the same, but as her pregnancy progressed, the answers to the questions changed. The doctor measured her baby bump, making sure it was growing at a healthy rate. She had been scolded a couple of times for being a little under weight, but she was working on eating more to be healthy for herself and the baby.

"Are you wanting to find out the gender today, Miss Grape?" The doctor asked, and Giselle looked over at Mason.

Once Mason gave her a nod, telling her that if she wanted to than he wanted to, she turned back to the doctor with a smile.

"We really want to know the gender of our baby." Giselle replied, causing the doctor to smile as well.

The doctor grabbed the ultrasound machine, and began to move the wand around over the gel on Giselle's belly. She told the couple that their baby was growing perfectly, and that the baby was very healthy. She told them the baby's heart rate was strong, and she could tell that the baby was going to be perfect.

"Well, it seems you two are having..." She trailed off, as she waited for the baby to move where she could see,"a little girl. Congratulations." She said, and Giselle couldn't wipe the grin off of her face.

The doctor handed her some tissues to wipe off her stomach, and said she'd give them a minute to celebrate, and that she'd be back with ultrasound pictures. Mason and Giselle hugged, before Giselle hugged her little brother. The boy let out an excited laughing, and he became a bit more excited once Mason explained to him what the doctor meant.

"You're having a niece, Arnie." Mason told him, and Arnie practically squealed with joy.

Soon, the doctor came back with copies of the ultrasound, and a paper that told Giselle what to expect as her pregnancy progressed. Once Giselle scheduled her next appointment, the group of three climbed into Mason's car and headed to a diner for dinner. Arnie didn't really want to sit down, but once Giselle had asked him nicely to sit and eat with them, he obliged and stayed sitting.

They all three ate different foods, but after they ate, they celebrated with milkshakes. Technically, Giselle was craving a strawberry milkshake, but Mason decided to get him and Arnie some too, so they could celebrate the news. The happiness was amazing, and Mason hoped that Giselle wouldn't feel down once she went home.

"I-I know that they're still ignoring me, and that I shouldn't do anything," Giselle bit her lip,"but I was thinking we could pick up a gift bag and a small pair of pink booties. I want to surprise them with the gender." She said, and Mason sighed silently.

"We can do that." He answered immediately, though he wasn't sure how well it would turn out.

If they upset her after she told them exciting news, he would snap on them again. He would make them wish they had never met him. Obviously, he wouldn't be mean to Arnie, because Arnie wasn't mean to him or Giselle. He was the only Grape family member, other than Giselle, that didn't piss him off.

After they ate dinner, Mason stopped at a store for Giselle to run in. She grabbed a little black gift bag, some white paper to go inside the bag, and a pair of pink baby booties. Once she bought the stuff, she slipped the booties into the bag, and covered them with the white paper.

The closer they got to her house, the more butterflies filled up in Giselle's belly. Now that she had bought the bag and filled it, she actually felt more nervous. She didn't know how her family would react. For all she knew, they could ignore her advances all together, or they could open the gender reveal gift, and just set it aside like they didn't care. She didn't want to think that way, but with the way they had been treating her, she really didn't think they could surprise her anymore.

She hoped that they would finally come to terms with everything before she had the baby. She wouldn't be able to handle them not being there when she delivered her little girl. Honestly, she'd probably cry for days, and that wasn't something she was ready for. She knew she'd have Mason by her side, but Mason could only do so much for her.

He was her best friend, and the love of her life, but he couldn't do everything. Sometimes a girl simply needed the her twin brother, or her big sister, or her mother. It was just something she needed at times, but she wasn't sure if she was ever going to get their support again...
